    No, not at all. Completely different motor. This one is an Atkinson cycle with dual injection and dual VVT, ljust like the new 3.5l v6 coming in the 3rd gen taco.

    Same cast aluminum block, everything else is different.

    I remember seeing something like 80% all new parts content for the motor. So I wouldn't be surprised if things like the thermostat and other ancillaries are the same.

    Not quite as cool as the LF-A but in race mode it's pretty awesome

    Toyota is #1 in sales and profitability, so I really don't think they're worried about it. I always like to research the small production performance models because it gives you an idea of the new technology that you could see on a high production model in the future. like the new 3.5l v6 in the 3rd gen. I don't understand hate from people who have never driven it though?
