    Well, it's all been said already, but if you live by the trick play...you die by the trick play. Throwing a shorty pass into a wall on the goal line when you have the #1 back, was about the dumbest play call by Carroll I've ever seen. Coach lost it for them.

    BS. As I've already said, if it was ANY team besides the Pats it wouldn't even have made the news. Nobody gave a rat's ass about Aaron Rodgers openly stating that his team will try to sneak overinflated balls past the Zebras, nobody cared about balls getting warmed up on the sidelines for the Vikings/Panthers game.
    But the word slips that the League is CHECKING to see if the Pats MAY have provided footballs that were inflated to below regulation PSI and the internet and the media lose their shit.
    It's easy to hate a team that wins, and since they've severely spanked pretty much every team in the NFL at least once in during the Brady/Belichick era there's a lot of bitter fans out there who'll jump all over any excuse they can find, whether it's unsubstantiated rumor or proven investigation.

    Whine all you want about asterisks and check marks and blemishes; the Superbowl was won and lost on the level of each team's play, some lousy referreeing, and a couple of extremely lucky plays. Like usual.

    So does the NFL. Like the guy or not he sells tickets for them.
    He has done a fair amount of charity work, he isn't an attention whore, he hasn't punched his wife, he has no pending drug charges, he gets along well with his teammates, and a great sense of humor as he voiced himself on Family Guy and poked fun of himself 100's of times.
    Seems like a pretty decent guy to me :notsure:

    I hear you. But, far less QB's have far worse rep's on the field than he does and he seems to win.

    I have read trash talking articles on him in the past but, that's fb in general. The difference is it typically comes from the line, not from the QB.
    His leadership on the field seems pretty amazing as his starters have often mentioned.

    I honestly stopped watching professional sports a while back due to the general douchebaggery of money grubbers, game throwers, strikes, non role model attitudes, crying athletes, steroid issues(just man the fuck up and say, Hell yes I juiced now fuck off), etc..
    Intercollegiate and semi pro sporting events seem to be where it is at for me as I like to watch the fight for the big show.
