IMO you should contact a lawyer. Why do you have to waste your time and gas and take time off work because the dealer damaged your car!? You need to be compensated for all that.

I had to carry my own insurance when I drove a hotel limo back in the 80s. Money was good, but it made me VERY respectful of the Town Car.

These dealer weenies should be in the same boat. You're a lot more careful when there's consequences for your dumb ass.

Take it too another dealer and do not mention how it happened. Just have it totally fixed, then sue the dealer where it happened.

no need to sue if the dealer admits fault and fixes it.

The least that could have happened is bent control arms and/or spindle.

    The worst is bent frame.

From the pics posted I would not consider that a damaging hit. From the ops description of the truck stopping abruptly then possibly.

But i have always been surprised at how my truck feels when coming back on road after a desert trip. Expect to have alignment issues but never do.

I'm sorry this happened to you but it may not be their fault.

So I got the truck back after about 4 hours of waiting. The alignment seems a lot better but its tough to tell since traffic was stop and go on the way home. I will know more tomorrow morning on the drive into work. The dealer says there is no damage and everything looks good as far as the front suspension, bearings, etc...

Now for the weird part. Here are the alignment numbers from today. The dealer said they aligned it yesterday. How was it out of spec after 1 day?

Also the roadforce balance readout from today. I have 1 tire that is way out of specs. This is really strange since the tires were just done 1500 miles ago and all 4 were just fine. I find their road force printout strange since it looks like the bad tire was originally on the back left. I wonder if they realize that I marked the rim/tire that was hit? :D I guess I must look stupid.

I'm about fed up with this now.

Believe me... they could care less about treating you fairly/correctly. Henceforth why they switched your wheel/tire to the back

The problem with allowing the one who broke it too fix it usually leaves a lot of questions and unhappiness. The OP has made it clear he is not being taken care of like he thinks he should. The answer is to take it else ware, have it fixed as it should be and sue for the costs if they refuse to pay the bill and 99 times out of 100 they refuse.

whoever parked it and left it there is clearly not very intelligent, if this person worked for me they would, well not be anymore.

Lawyers, Courts ... WTF? Why is everyone all out to bitchslap the dealer. It sound to me like they are fixing the issue. From looking at the video it appears to be a slight pull to the left. Big Deal, they aligned it and did a road force balance. What should they do hang the kid that did it in the parking lot, burn his body and then give the OP a new truck?

Jimmy, as i've read it, the OP went in for an oil change which took 4 hours to complete while during the service he noticed a tech had aggressively driven the truck fast enough to lose control and hard enough to make the vehicle lose its alignment. Now they're dicking around with him on the repair by swapping tires around. It doesn't need to go to court but if I were OP I would have demanded that they pay for the vehicle be taken to an alignment shop of my choice where unbiased work can be done. Courts aren't necessary but all techs should treat client vehicles with great care which i've read story and story again about how they don't do that. Dealerships should enforce strong policies because these repairs aren't cheap to mend and can lose them customer confidence.

I am a calm man much like OP, but I would still insist upon making my previously fine truck correct before leaving the service dept.

Wut? OP brought truck in for an oil change, now the truck wants to make turns on its own, and 'it may not be their fault'???
