go to napa or ace hardware, find something close and they let you go in and out till you find the right size threads then get the length and head type you need

Thanks bellassaiw10! I can confirm that 10-32 x 3/4" do work! My visors used 8-32 x 3/4 on the outside holes but those were too loose on the inside holes. So, I used some elbow grease and screwed the 10-32 x 3/4" in on the inside holes, then decided to do the same on the outside holes as well. Visors are snug now!

My driver's side sun visor mounting screw on the left side (outer) would not even stay in with a 10/32 x 3/4" screw of any type - even with loctite. I don't know who buggered it up before I owned it! I'm holding it tight with a #12 machine screw now. The head is slightly bigger but at least it locks in place solidly and isn't visible when the visor is stowed up.
What is on the inside where the screw goes? Is it a replaceable clip?
