So I need to remove stock TRD decals on the bed and it appears even with the blow dryer and heat, they are not wanting to come off. What's up with this? Any ideas on getting them off fairly easily?

Rather than posting a response like this, why not explain how to use the search feature of the site, to a new member?

OP, Twards the top of the page, on the right, you can click the search menu, and search on the topic. I've found that most folks recommend to wait until its warmer out to do this, as the sun can heat the sides to make this job a little more easy.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
With your finger nail try and lift an edge or score the decal. Use [IMG]Let the product do the work, soak the area and take your time. Keep wetting the area and using your finger nail to remove (pieces of) the decal exposing more and more adhesive. The longer the decal adhesive is saturated the easier it will come off using your finger nails...only. I have found the next day after the adhesive cleaner has dried into the adhesive, it comes off a lot easier. In other words don't be in a hurry, it will come off. Good luck!

You made your point Chris. Did you or another MOD really have to go into my account and post a thread in my own thread? Professional and mature I see. Why don't you set up a sticky for new people that don't want to surf the board for answers.

I removed mine the minute I got home with the truck. Decals were on it for 2 weeks. Just took the chill off from our cold 60 degree day here in Socal with a hair dryer and fingernailed a corner and pulled and wiggled the decals off and not a spec of adhesive was left.

Don't use Goof Off , use Goo Gone

All kinds of drama I see.... For what its worth I did a search on decal removal and only two posts came up. I didn't see anyrhing like I'm seeing here. I removed fx4 decals on a diesel ford one time and they peeled right off. These are stubborn as hell. Thanks for direction

This is what I used, it let the badges and decals come off really easily, and with a soft cloth, cleaned all residual adhesive off. Then I waxed the whole truck and couldn't tell it ever had badges or decals.

How did you do that without the emblems breaking apart?

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
This OP, I've always had good results with Goo Gone. Goof off is great for surfaces like windows and such where no paint is involved.

Hey buddy, would you be interested in maybe selling those badges if you aren't going to use them anymore?

Do I just pour the remover liberally behind the badges and let it soak for a few minutes prior?

I used a heat gun to CAREFULLY warm up the decals, peeled them of by hand, and used bug and tar remover to get the residue off. I figured, bug and tar remover is meant to be used on a car, or truck. Worked like a charm.

    Good luck with it.
