35 psi, checked before and after service. No way for me to tell. I suspect all are making noise. Definitely not from brakes.

Why, in all these years with this truck, would I have never experienced this until this time?

... and why noise remain after swapping them back almost immediately? Doesn't make sense to me.

What brand tires are you running? I had Firestone Destinations that did the same thing after rotation & balance at 20,000 miles. I couldn't figure it out for anything. Took it by Tires Plus (where I bought said tires) and they said I needed new axles, rotors, a brake job and some other ridiculous stuff. I laughed and walked out. I got an alignment across the street at Sears and the sound went away.

You should run a 'chalk' test to check your tires for proper inflation.

If you're running stock tires.... 35psi is pretty high. Toyota recommends 29psi.

Have you tried lowering the pressure to see if anything changes?

Yes, I tried lowering the pressure, with no difference. Again guys, been doing the same routine on this truck for 105k miles. On my 3rd set of theses Rugged Trails, so I know how they're supposed to work on my truck. Had the tires rotated probably 20 times without an issue, until now. Balance and wheel alignment when needed and each new set of tires.

Not sure if these means anything or not, but the noise is the worse at 35 and 60 miles per hour. At other speeds, it's still louder than it was before service, but not as bad at these speeds.

Have you lubricated your driveshaft ujoints lately?

Who's been doing the work on your truck? Take it back to the shop and ask them....

If you're not seeing anything else and we've all probably suggested just about everything that isn't helping. I honestly don't know what to tell you other than take it back to them....

Not sure that they've ever been lubed. I do get the regular maintenance done each 5k miles.

Did you check all 4 tires to be sure they did not get worn out of round??? Jack up and spin the tires with a ref point off the tires .... I had a prob like this years ago with a car that had f bearings going. After I did the bearings the tires sounded terrible and vibs after repeated balancing. The SHop found mine with a TPD .

I'm scheduled to take the truck into the dealer, 1st thing Thursday morning. I asked that the Tech test drive the vehicle, with me, so I don't get that standard "I didn't hear anything wrong" answer.

At a minimum, I'm asking them to visually inspect the Drive Shaft, U-Joints, etc. Since I don't know if the joints have ever been lubed, I'll ask for that to be done. Can you folks think of anything else I should request, assuming that they're not going to find anything right away?

Again, I appreciate all the help guys. I know I sometimes come off like I'm disregarding your suggestions, but I'm just frustrated. My truck went in without this issue and came out having this problem. The only thing that I can't undo from what they did is the tire balancing. Obviously, I can't get those tires back to how they were setup when I took it in.

My original service was for the following:

    Oil/Filter Change
    Lube
    Tire Balancing
    Tire Rotating
    Inspect Frame for Rusting Issue

    That was it.

I agree as stated before. Exposing new tread that has not been run in that direction before, and need to wear in. You said that it had been longer than usual for your rotation, that could be the little extra that you can hear. Just rotate the tires back if it didn't help and wear them in to the new position.

As mentioned, I did rotate them back and the problem still exists. Also they are rotated from front to back, back to front so they're still spinning in the same direction.

Problem starts at about 35 MPH. from 40 to 60, it's still there, but not terrible. Come 65, it's off the charts, so loud, so annoying. It sounds like you're in an airplane or have huge knobby tires on there. At 75, it quiets considerably, but is still present. Seems to be coming from the front, not the rear.

Check your Front Diff fluid/tranny fluids also ... Check for color and smell (smell burned, filings, muddy, etc ?)

Also I'd check the front end for anything loose (loose bolts, bad stabilizer bushings, Broken/loose motor / tranny mount, loose bell housing to engine ....
