The conspiracy that makes a little sense is that Pete wanted Russell to get the MVP which he probably would have with the TD pass. He or Chris Matthews. This one was also around early in the season when they were 3-3 and Lynch wasn't getting as many carries... they wanted Russell to compete for the MVP. They kept force feeding the ball to Percy.

    All bunk though.

In reality, Pete/Bevell makes these kinds of calls all day long. They work a lot and sometimes they don't. Lots of things could have been better. Kearse didn't get the pick on Butler because of bad form and Browner didn't let him get off. Lockette ran a shitty piss poor route, he was supposed to fake hard outside and then cut back. His head was locked on Wilson the whole time, he gave the route away which let Butler jump it. His chin shouldn't turn towards the QB until his outside shoulder turns, not before. Russell didn't throw a very good ball, it should have been low and towards Lockette's back shoulder, instead he lead him by a couple steps which played into the defender jumping the route.

    Blame pie for the players?

    Lockette - 60%
    Kearse - 25%
    Wilson - 15%

    Bevell/Pete - 100%

What he said. A quick search turns up Marshawn's Twitter is @MoneyLynch.

This is what he had to say after the game.

"Asked if Pete Carroll’s ill-fated decision to go with a passing play on second-and-goal from the 1, 26 seconds left in the game, Pats up 28-24, surprised him, Lynch took the highest of high roads.
“No,” he said, “because football is a team sport"

No wonder he doesn't talk to the media, someone see's his name posts it up as "fact" without a seconds worth of research.

Patriots fans exult peacefully after dramatic Super Bowl win
New England Patriots fans celebrated their team's come-from-behind victory in Sunday's Super Bowl like they'd been there before. Of course, that's because they have.
The 28-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks was the franchise's fourth NFL championship, all won since 2001. Since the Patriots captured their first Super Bowl, the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins have combined for five titles in their respective sports. In all, Boston's four major professional sports teams have made 13 appearances in a championship game or series in the past 15 years.
So maybe it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise when revelers spilled onto the streets of Boston in a scene that was described as jubilant, but orderly.
At around 12:30 a.m. local time, the Boston Police Department tweeted that they had not made any arrests related to overexuberant behavior.
"Way to make your team and your city proud," the message concluded.
The Boston Globe reported that hundreds of people gathered around a bandstand on Boston Common, waving Patriots flags and chanting "USA! USA! USA!" Others congregated in Copley Square and marched down Boylston Street singing "When the Pats go marching in ..."
Boston officials, themselves used to planning championship celebrations, warned on Friday that police would show zero tolerance when it came to public drinking or destruction of property.
"We’re going to be able to cheer on the Patriots, but whatever the outcome in Boston, we're going to put public safety first," Boston Mayor Marty Walsh told reporters. "We’re not going to allow celebrations to become an excuse for dangerous and illegal behavior."
The scene was similarly peaceful at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where students have rioted in the past after major Boston sporting events, win or lose. The Globe reported that more than a dozen students were escorted away from an impromptu on-campus celebration, but no damage or injuries were reported.
Boston Mayor Martin Walsh's office said the parade for the Patriots will he held Tuesday. It starts at 11 a.m. at the Prudential Center and will end at City Hall.

Still think Irvin threw the first punch...

"I got pushed or something, and it was the last game of the year, and I was like, 'Screw it, I'm throwing some haymakers,'" Gronkowski said

From his appearance on Kimmel last night.

I honestly don't care who started it. But in your estimation, which player took it too far? I'm pretty sure it's the player that the refs ejected, and the same player that went to social media to give a public apology.

I do. Instigator and the person who took it too far (if not the instigator) take the majority of the shit.

I didn't see the interview, he could have just been playing the role like he does..

They should be suspended from football until June. Both teams. That'll teach 'em a lesson.

idk I feel like shit can happen at any time, and how you handle it shows your true colors. Look at Sherman - Even when he got socked by Trent Williams, he had the control to not retaliate. At the same time, I'm not saying Gronk is an angel.

    LOL

Like I said in the second post, Irvin STARTED the fight. In the gif it looked like he swung but I see now he pushed. That is still the start of the fight.

    Most definitely..

And as loud as he is, Sherman at least was gracious in defeat right after the game in congratulating the Pats (particularly Brady).

I think Irvin took it too far absolutely, as far as being ejected or flagged .. that just proves he didn't start it. They never catch the person that swings first. Irvin threw one punch Gronk threw a couple and one first.

Your original comment was trying to portray the Hawks in a negative light, I believe you called them sore losers.

So, Gronk takes the first swing.. admits it on national TV and then tries to joke it off. No apology.

Irvin retaliates by sticking up for a team mate and then offers an apology to kids who saw it on his social media account. Take owenrship of his actions. I see Sherman going out of his way to shake Brady's hand. No one is classier than Russell Wilson, win or lose.

I don't follow your logic other than that you are a 49er fan who over the last year whines incessantly to this thread about me talking about the 49ers and citing articles that for the most part all came true. Meanwhile 49er fans lob shots all day, as you and others in here have done many times over the last couple weeks... all while your team has become completely irrelevant. Again. Without anything to show for it.

Pot, Kettle... all that good stuff.

I forget you're 22, you think pushing is starting a fight. Two guys in the lunchroom at school push each other and by your account there was a brawl.

Where I come from starting a fight is throwing a punch at someone. There is "pushing" on LOTS of plays in every game. No one gets flagged for pushing.

Fact means what actually happened, not what you want to think happened.

A better statement would be "My opinion is, they couldn't lose with class"

I've shown facts about how they lost with class. Are they not teaching the fact fiction stuff in school these days?
