    Ever notice when comming to a stop
    then RPM's drop way down and then
    jump back up, is that normal?

    With the Auto. Yes it is normal. Its the Torque converter fully unlocking. If your really in tune with your truck, you can even feel it down shifting. :D

    is that why it idles higher when in park? like when i am in park the idle is around 750-1000 rpms but then when I put in in gear (auto trans) it drops down to about 500?

    sorry if i sound dumb i am noob
