The mount is 3/8" A36 steel that uses the two bolts that hold the factory recovery loop, and the shackle is a 5/8" shackle with 3/4" pin if that helps. I've seen a beefier version that uses a nearby bolt in addition to those two mine uses.

Edit - there it is^ by bulletproof fab. That sucker is a little too spendy after shipping for my needs.

And mine is rated at the same 6500lbs as bulletproofs

Lol sorry. CNC cut and bent, then wrinkle finish powder coat. It would take a 7/8" pin but I have a 3/4" in it right now.

that tab looks cool n all.... but the factory tow hook is SO MUCH more beef its not even funny.

I did paint my stock tow hook red, love the lil red accent on the front with it.

I have no idea what the factory hook is rated for, but this thing feels quite a bit more substantial, and it's thicker steel. I wanted a shackle up front so this seemed like the best option for me. :dunno: And +1000 to a touch of red!

yes, I have done the mods

Apologies for the low-light shot. More shots tomorrow if people are interested.

To be thorough, doublecab guys will need part #s:

58510-04870-B2 - the doublecab vinyl flooring itself. Comes with the foam padding underneath and the white door sill clips already glued on, just like the carpet part. If you want to add the rubber floor mats that are specifically for the vinyl flooring, you'll need...

PT908-35126-20 - all 4 of the floor mats.

5852104040 (4 needed) - the clip that sticks down to hold the floor mat and keep it from drifting forward into the pedals (thank you Prius lawsuits). In the carpet, the hooks are attached direct to the flooring; for whatever reason they didn't do that with the vinyl.

90159A0008 (4 needed) - washer-head screw for each of the clips.

you can see the cutouts in the vinyl for the clips and the holes in the sheet metal where the screws tap in:

    020115%20vinyl%20flooring_3_zps5ldh97ey_fb876406e1f75707e330c2198f1e89342736f4b9.jpg

(My clips haven't come in yet.)

I ordered mine from EB Toyota Parts, which seems to be Boch Toyota South in MA. They had both the best price on the vinyl (and accompanying rubber floor mats) and the best shipping price I could find - UPS @ $39. Read several times about other members paying more than double that shipping, I guess due to the large box. It's big, but the vinyl doesn't weigh anything.

That part # should work for any doublecab from 05-15... ALLEGEDLY. A '10 has done it on TW, and I'm a '12.

The great thing about the vinyl flooring is how it pretty much disappears once you have the seats and all your stuff back in the truck, especially if you then throw the rubber floor mats over top of it. Doubtful anyone who doesn't know to look will even notice.

It's one of those mods that I always wanted to do. I started reading here on TW about guys who ordered new '14 and '15 trucks being unable to do vinyl as an option, and with the '16 being all-new, I didn't want the vinyl part to become unavailable and then never be able to get it.

Besides, it's rad to now know how to get the entire inside of the truck apart.

    ===

And for those of you thinking about the 31M battery, the existing stock battery connectors will just baaaaaarely fit, as the posts on the 31M are further away and higher up than stock. The ground connector fits fine, but for the positive wire...

    020115%2031m%20battery_2_zpsr9h7kx7l_c57515322ac658c2d933a21439609046ce530080.jpg

...you'll have to separate the... "main" (?) wire from the ring-terminal wire going to the fuse box (skygear, fix my terminology here, I'm kind of derp when it comes to electrical). The main connection simply won't reach if you leave it mated to the fuse box wire. The fuse box wire will have to go on the secondary, smaller aux post on the 31M - BUT - the aux post is too big for the ring terminal. You'll have to drill out the hole some to get it to clear.

Or plan on extending your wires and get the parts for it before you start the whole battery swap. I didn't, and I needed the truck to drive the next morning, so this was the solution.

For those who are curious; the inside of the normal black mirror is the same as the turd sport mirror (minus two wires and I'm not 100% certain if all model years are the same). When I can afford to buy the rest of the stuff at the end of the month, I'll hopefully do a write up. (Going to college on the GI Bill means I only get paid once a month)

So, aside from the lights and the wires to hook them up, they are the same?
Make sure and search TW as there have been a few write ups that may help you along. GL

Yup, exactly the same. I've been going through them lately and have printed out several wiring diagrams for the truck. I also want to add the heated mirror from the Highlander and the OEM switch for it as well.
