    You need more cardboard, maybe laminated layers, doesn't look stiff enough for the support you'll need.


    That paint looks good though. :cool:

    Any plans to box the frame whilst the bed is off? Or just the side plates?

    Another project done. Only cost me about 18.00 to get done.

    Forgot the jack so I improvised.

    I painted the backsides of the reinforcement plates and silicone in-between the tac welds on the frame to try and keep water from getting behind the welds. Trying to keep the rust out from between the the steel.

    Finished boxing in the frame.

    This is 1/4" tube and I added 1/4" plate on the inside the frame. I've seen welds rip the meat out of thin steel when being pulled. But this should hold well.

    I also added 1/4" gussets on the side of the tube.

    I did the plate in sections and welded it all together. I buffed what i could and painted it.
