I don't know. I picked up a 2004 Corolla that had been on the lot for a week in early August 2003. I think it all depends on how the line conversion goes. All my dealer knows is that they'll get to place their allocation orders in early June; while the rest is past-history-based speculation, he believes mid-to-late August for the first deliveries from San Antonio.

Thinking of the 3" or 6" lift for that?

Good choice. The MX5 and the Taco are very comparable vehicles.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Fat chicks can't jump, so the mx5 is perfect?

I agree with this. August seems pretty optimistic. That dealer just wants to keep your excitment stirred up, so they can capitalize when the time comes.

    Hope I'm wrong, though.

I'm thinking the same based on features still being hush-hush at this point.

The day that they make a brand new 85.. Even if it is not updated, with 30 year old Tech and cassette player. I will buy.

I would put a deposit down today for 5 years out @20k for a new 1985 Toyota xtra cab 4x4 5spd pickup with factory sunroof. Drive it daily forever and then keep my Tacoma for towing.

I will probably end up buying either way at some point.

NO kidding. NO Silly I am selling My 2014 Corvette (GM Service is terrible which knocked out the Colorado and buying the 2016 MX5 Yeah I know not comparable but they are both convertible roadsters . The rest doesn't matter. I get my speed junky Flying,,,

SO I will be buying a 2014 TUNDRA to replace the Tacoma. I don;t care for what Toyota has done to the Tacoma at all.

Well, that's different. Obviously the Miata is a suitable replacement for the Corvette. I don't know how you'll tell them apart.

If you like Miata go for it. Their are other small cars out there that are less feminine all I'm sayin'

I have a friend who turbo'd a Miata. He reinforced the body and added some coil overs. It was a pretty slick ride after that. If I could grab an older one on the cheap that's in good shape I'd definitely think about it.

Better a Miata than a candy red Mustang convertible with light coloured tan leather. I like the new Mustang, but that combination screams chick car!

Well, TacoBella is more feminine (assumption) than the rest of us. Perhaps the Miata is a perfect car for a dudette.

I know I can't even get into the stupid thing. It's easier to fall on the ground and crawl up into it. Too dang low to the ground.
