I completely agree there just isn't much there with the Tundra for me. I got a great deal on the 2014 F-150 King ranch and I am super happy with it. I thought about getting the aluminum body but i was not sure how much it was going to cost to replace those aluminum parts.

They don't make them with turbos anymore. At the time, they were actually pretty close to each other as far as performance goes.

Congrats! I looked long and hard at the 2014 KR too, there are some great deals to be had on those.

They've done some studies, and it looks like the repair costs won't be significantly higher. Let's hope, at least.

Honestly If I wasn't going to buy a Tacoma I'd either get an FJ, 4-Runner or a Tundra.

I've owned other makes and models and in all seriousness. The Tacoma has been the best vehicial i've ever owned. You think the clutch and spring problems are a big deal. Try living with a Ford, Chevy or god forbid a Dodge for more than a year or two.

Take the truck a quality shop and get the clutch repaired. It is a wear item and they are correct in not replacing it out of warranty. They have no idea how you drive the truck.

I was going to buy a Lancer Ralliart instead of my truck, but I needed the ground clearance to get into my cottage. If I were to switch vehicles now, Id probably buy something very fuel efficient.

I'd buy a 4Runner and chop it to make a pickup. Would do my best to stay in the Toyota family, In 15+ years I've only seen 2-3 Tacomas in the junk yard and most were wrecked. Never seen a Tundra and maybe 2 3rd gen 4Runners. I'm already starting to see less than 5 year old domestic trucks and SUV's though.

    If not a tacoma...it would be a 4runner or STI...in that order

Works out pretty well having the truck for work and hauling and the Subie for fun/ go fast. I just want it to go, stop and turn a little faster.:D

Finding an unmolested WRX here is a challenge but for a AWD turbo sedan it's the best option

This is too easy... Frontier. It's the only "affordable" truck that's available in a manual transmission; I hate driving auto transmissions. Heck, the only other truck that I know of that's available in a manual transmission is a Dodge with a diesel engine. But that truck retails for like $50k. Too rich for my wallet.

Totally impractical, but I just like it.

But since my bank account is laughing at me, back to reality. I'd probably go with a Tundra or next choice would be an F-150 or GMC Sierra Crew Cab. I'm just glad I don't have to make the choice!

WE're probably going to start pretty basic on this one. Cobb access port, Perrin cat back, blah blah. Ever had any experience with Tein coilovers?

    [IMG]Not a mazda. I like Miata's though.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Since I am on the market for new truck, because 2gen will be used by other family member for some time.

    My Choices are between
    1. F150/F250
    2. Tundra
    3. Diesel Titan
I would go with Tundra but there is no e-locker there anymore so I am wondering if I want to deal with massive truck possibly not making in Winter home.
Althought I am tempted to drop ARB in it or possibly swap Land Cruiser 9.5 Inch locker in it than get Sequoia AWD transfer case. like JT did.

2016 Tacoma was #1 on the list of choices but than Toyota released their turd so its out.
One thing for sure my next truck will not be 2016 Tacoma for sure.

If I was forced at gun point to veer from Toyota, I guess the new Titan looks not too horrible.
