The question should have been, "If the Tacoma didn't exist, what would you buy?

I couldn't either, but if there were a gun to my head, it's the only non-Toyota choice for me.

Ford, Chevy, and Dodge are absolutely out of the question.

Maybe I'd just go bat shit crazy and get an older Range Rover Sport, supercharged....

I do have a soft spot for the older Rovers. ^^^^

The '16 Tacoma is growing on me slowly, but not having seen either it or the Titan in person I may change my mind about them.

For me it would have to be Ford F-150 Tremor...or A Dodge single cab with the Hemi...or a Colorado/Canyon version of the access cab...or a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk...or a Subaru BRZ...a Nissan Frontier...or a 79 Chevy/GMC SWB stepside. Not that I've given it any thought.

I dotn want somethign to grow on me. Either somethign looks good or not. I think Titan Looks really Good. Easy to get upgraded front bumper...
Plus Cummins is absolute temptation. Only thing is thats a first year so not sure if I want to jump on that train wreck.

When I see the new Titan, I think of the old saying, "Beauty is only skin deep...but ugliness goes all the way to the bone."

    Me either, that's why I got a '12 when they came out. I'll wait until I see a '16.

For as many vehicles there are to choose from out there, it's amazing how many of them I don't like.

I don't see the visual appeal to the titan. I don't have anything against the Nissan truck, as I have no experience with it, but when I look at that truck I just want to gouge my eyes with a briar bush branch.

Will seriously look at a 4Runner. I find I don't use the truck bed as much as I used to. I use a trailer to haul stuff quite a bit. I find I need a closed in cargo area more and more. Not a fan of a topper.

I dotn know I liek that front, I think in Pearl White its going to look awesome.
My only problem with Nissan is the ammount of Electronic junk they have in their cars, but since everybody has this now, that point is moot.

Otherwise quality is very good, rust protection on their cars is absolutely great. I may have to just wait for that Titan with diesel.

Just as a reminder.....there will be two different versions of the new Titan: a smaller one, and the larger XD model. Only the XD model will have the Cummins diesel.
