Was making some chicken fried rice last night, and tripped out when I cracked an egg and two yolks fell out.

I suppose it is fairly common, just never seen it before.

 Would be nice if it works - and it extends beyond restaurants to groceries. GF stuff is so pricy. :goingcrazy:

There's a brand of eggs that are genetically modified and are XXL, all of them have double yokes.

    Mayo is disgusting.

I do not eat mayo period. Unless you count ceasar salad dressing but I switched to the yogurt based stuff.

I don't know that I have weird sammich habits. But I do put avocados on sammiches a lot - some people think thats strange. :notsure: bacon, lettuce, avocado, swiss and turkey are awesome together or grilled chicken with cheddar, honey mustard dressing, avocados and lettuce on grilled parmesan bread.

Damnit....now I'm hungry again! And I just got back from lunch! :annoyed:

heart health? not sure on that specifically.
Being gluten free has its positives and negatives health wise. If you don't need to be GF then you shouldn't do it. GF diets tend to be missing sources of fiber and some GF foods are higher in sugar and calories. On the plus side of things being GF means that you generally avoid processed foods, fast food, junk food, baked goods so it sort of forces you to eat fresher, healthier things. You become a "perimeter shopper" and not a "box and can shopper" (perimeter being the perimeter of the store - produce, dairy, FRESH food, etc and box & can being prepacked processed foods located in the aisles)

As far as heart health goes, I like a few table spoons of flax seed meal stirred into oj (or something). Simple and easy.

Paleo is not processed anything when possible. It's actually very hard to stick to as well as expensive to buy those types of products. My wife and I have started it twice in the last 6 months and just couldn't follow through.

People that do it either follow it it like a religious cult or use the premise to make better eating choices.
We were the latter, but I kind of see why they treat it cult like when done correctly . It's friggin hard to stick to!
I will say that the recipes we followed when on it were some the most delicious meals in recent memory.

Maybe slight benefit in the sense that you cut out wheat, barley etc. that are all carbs and probably not good for cholestrol.
However, GF diets are typical for people with immune issues. Celiac is the worst - basically full allergy for gluten which causes intestinal problems. People who have gluten sensitivity might not always experience the severe intestinal problems but can have other symptoms.
My son developed juvenile arthritis. Started with pain in his knees. A few years later he was in a wheel chair at school when they had to travel longer distances like going to lunch room. He could only walk short distances between classes.
Long story short, after many doctors who could not do anything for him and wanted to put him on pain medication for the rest of his life, we found this gluten free doctor. He put my son on a gluten free diet with natural supplements to repair the arthritis damage and gut damage because of the gluten-caused infection. 6 months later my son is running around pain free, do 2-mile runs, and just tried out for the JROTC Raiders team at school. It's like a miracle.
However, I am not gluten sensitive, so there would be little to no benefits for me to be on a gluten free diet. That being said, it cant hurt anything either, so I am doing it with him because it is easier if we all eat the same. When I am not at home I cheat:eek:
