Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I prefer to stop using small eco cars as my brakes.

Where is anyone hearing the actual cab is bigger? You can make a truck an inch or two longer by throwing more crap on the bumpers easily.

It would be a house, but I would buy a Mega cab Tundra if it came with a 6.5 foot bed too

Yes, and that is what I am saying. I believe the cab dimensions are exactly the same as the gen 2. Basically gen 2 cab with different skins on it.

I think the cab, and structure of the cab is very near the same patterns from the 2nd gen. Dimensions should be the same, and the parts nearly identical structurally. They did say they changed some steel, which means new tooling. Which means that they are different, you may or may not be able to see a difference if you ripped the skins and interior off and out.

So yeah, basically is a 2nd gen cab.

I myself am curious to compare the windshields, if the frame dimensions are the same then we could add some dynomat and the new acoustic windshield to a 2nd Gen for a quite ride.

I thought they said they added some extra sound dampening material
    to the cab this time?

They did, I mean that our 2nd gen trucks could be quieted up as well with a little work and the new windshield if it fits.

    Re-read it, my bad.

I can't even believe I'm considering it as much as I am, as
mine will be paid for the same time these are available.

I really hope that is the case but I don't expect it. I did notice they raised the roof contour in the back seat, that should allow more headroom

They definitely did some rework on the roof. Hence the new sunroof option.

I wonder if the new windshield is taller than the old one. Who has fancy measuring photograph skills to confirm? It would be nice to see street lights :/

Even if the roofline is different, the footprint of the cab is probably the same. I wouldn't count on any significant difference in interior space. That is fine with me though. The Tacoma is a mid-sized truck. Not a compact, not a full-sized. The Gen 2 was perfect size to start with. I think even the Colorado is a couple inches wider.

Basic architecture. You know, concrete foundation, 2x4 stud walls, brick, drywall, roofing shingles. Basic architecture.

Stone, steel, and glass are fancy architecture.

Basic architecture is different on the Ridgeline. Maybe that is the choice for someone wanting a newer architecture than the Tacoma?

This thread is taking an odd drift ... I suppose it's inevitable while everyone's patience is tested waiting for some hard specs and data. Let's not nit-pick each other; plenty of other threads to disintegrate with that nonsense. I'm just sayin' ...

Just a slight cautionary course nudge there, OP.
