No ill make sure we wait. You just have to be at camp or we have to figure out meeting places. Or I'll try to call you or whatever.

See while it makes sense to save hard shit for the end, (and i dunno maybe breaking early gives you more time to fix it) but im all gung ho and ready to go hard. Then the end of the week I'm just relaxed and taking it easy

Moab n00b here. No idea about any of it except what I've seen on here & last year's thread. I really only have one request & that's not doing trails where body/mechanical damage is probable/likely. If there is a by-pass where I can go on a trail but avoid the serious challenges like that big fracture that you have to take at a 45 degree angle, I'm up for it.

Having said that, I liked 7mile in Larimer county CO before the USFS decided to "fix" it. They totally ruined that road. I like the middle ground of difficulty between blue square & black diamond. I'm relying on everyone else who has been there before & come back unscathed.

On the plus side though I found my FunTreks book for Moab published in 2000, but being 15 yrs old I don't know what has been closed, changed or added.

might as well add sevenmile rim to your list to hit in Moab :D

anytime at camp, feel free to stop on by our area (we'll be near the main registration tent) and ask some trail questions, we'll get you setup with a good group and on the right trail for what you're looking for....

there's going to be a plenty of Moab knowledge there around camp, so feel free to ask around to first hand reports of trails and what to expect..

    Overkill. I like it!
There's a couple auto parts stores in town that are pretty well stocked. The simple stuff like oil and gear oil is always on hand. If you're running short on space you could easily drop those to a quart instead of a gallon.

Good thinking! So far it all fits into a big action packer

I didn't mean to overkill so much it's just stuff That I have replaced over the last few years and kept the old parts! Except the uniball's those are new.

lol no they are all old stuff except the uniball's from camburg, but I wanted them anyway. Everything on my list is OEM on the truck now so I'm not to worried about breaking..

Honestly I have the space so I'll bring it and if others break I will have some parts to help them out! Think of me as the 1st gen spare parts store, I accept beer and beer.

If you somehow manage to break a uniball...you'll likely have much bigger problems.

Not yet but it hasn't been wheels that hard, I'm more worried about the arb in front.

I plan on wheeling hard in MOAB though.

Can't wait to see this rig.

And that's quite the list of spare parts. But 3 LBJ's? Is that 3 for each side? I've always carried 1 LBJ for each side, UBJ, inner and outer tie rods, one CV, and some fluids.

Better safe than sorry! And if ya got it...why not.

I keep two ITRE and a fuel pump in my truck 100% of the time. On outings like this I bring 1-2 spare CV's, and L&R LBJs. My outer TRE's are enormous double sheer heim joints held together with a 5/8" F911 bolt...so again, if that breaks I have bigger problems. If shit really hits the fan, I can get L&R spindles over-nighted.

The only reason we are waiting for that stuff till the end is because people that want to do those two trails are taking their sweet ass time to get down there. Who drives 10 hours to wheel two days???

meeting place will be important. Shitty part is I cant hit freeway speeds in the taco aired down it's scary

Because unlike myself  some people don't want to pack the weight down and don't have the room.
Un like last year I will not be packing down a spare first gen just a few diff parts for the rear and some drive line parts for the rear. wont have the funds for 1 ton rear drive lines and a rear locker so it's getting welded and we will be hopping to not break the Toyota hybrid drive lines that get built.

No it's 2 driver one pass of I remember. I should get some inner tie rods before we leave too, I like to be prepared :)

You got time to make a list yourself!

It's moab if I only had time for one day it's still worth it.

Who needs freeway speed? Set the cruise that we don't have at 45 or so and we get there when we get there.

As of right now I can say I'm in 100% for going but about 80-90% for being there the week. Just picked up 3 37x12.5x17 for $150. Be next payday and I can order one new tire to complete the set. By then I will have wheels. So that leaves hydro assist and then piddle projects.

Well I better fix the rear end of the tow pig too. If I go a week it will be earning it's keep. Tow down 30 feet of comfort plus the 4runner and all gear. It should be thankful there is a grocery store down there
