Welded up my 18" bodied magnaflow today and ran the pipe out and dropped it in between the leafs and spare into a 3 inch tip. Sounds a lot better than the 40 series flowmaster that was on it. Nice and quiet when idling and still a little throaty about 2.5 rpms but not to loud

My truck is making a weird whining noise.....I posted a video on the last page of my build. Take a listen if you have a minute. I'm thinking it may be water pump, alternator, or just a pulley

WOOO! I just got my wheels and tires balanced and rotated. All of my vibes are gone! This is the first balance since the lift (done in August), thought I had driveline vibes.

Let it be known that I am one of the few who lifted past 3in (4.25in rear, 3.25in front) and got away vibe free. I have a bad carrier bearing, but that is just noise and a shudder (from the shaft moving because the rubber around the bearing has failed) going 3mph or slower.

Sounds like a toasted bearing, pop the belts off one by one and see if it stops.

    Compensating? What Compensating?

A long skid can be fine as long as its braces or supported on the back side. If you do a single piece from the front side all the way back, I'd try to bolt it to the crossmember or something to give it support in the middle.

Manual hubs.... so only when I'm tearing around off road. ;) Thought about getting a diff drop, but it doesn't seem like it alleviated anything for other members. I am using Eibach 620# coils on 5100s (5100s set as low as they go). They are actually LSC15s from his truck before he got coilovers (and subsequently got a new truck). I plan to cut off the IFS and SAS the thing eventually so I'm not too worried. I occasionally put Vaseline on the fins to slow the wearing of the boots.

Picture of my CV angle... :p

What wheels are those? They look like the Crushers I was eyeballing at Les Schwab today.
