So you never drove the truck with the original Icon springs on the shocks?

I'd like to get rid of my pre-load as well. My front end is already stiff enough, so I might go with 14x650.

Who did you talk to/how did you decide on changing out the springs? Looked back through the pages around when you swapped everything out, just didn't see much info about it.

poking around TW to see people with similar setups and how they handled it...

with 1/4" armor front to back, ARB w/ 9.5 warn winch...i knew i'd need to higher spring rates...the 14x gave the extra little bit to get rid of the preload and the 700lb gave the capacity for the weight

RTV Silicone (room temperature vulcanization silicone) is a type of silicone rubber made from a two-component system (base plus curative; A+B) available in a hardness range of very soft to medium - usually from 15 Shore A to 40 Shore. RTV silicones can be cured with a catalyst consisting of either platinum or a tin compound such as dibutyltin dilaurate. Applications include low-temperature overmolding, making molds for reproducing, and lens applications for some optically clear grades.

i'll either use that or black silicone

depending on the situation...i used the clear around the plusnuts and black silicone on the molding

I love your photos cuz they bring back some great memories for me. We took a trip to CO last August and ran Chinaman's and Spring Creek. And I have also been to Moab several times and ran Cliffhanger and some of the others you posted. Do you do the photography work, or a friend?
