Noop. Its liquid, and pressurizes as it becomes gas. Stays around 800# until the last bit is gone.

Do they make rubber rings to go around the bottom of a co 2 tank so you do not chip the paint?

Just got my 10lb tank filled at a local extinguisher refilling shop in Everett. Little pricey at $24 w/tax, but it's gonna be awesome to have for my upcoming trip to Utah!

That is really expensive. Cost me half that to get mine filled

Yeah, I'm sure if I poked around I could find something cheaper. But this being the first fill-up and my trip about a week out, I just wanted to get this errand taken off my prep list.

Did a quick test-run with the setup -- deflated my front tire with my ARB deflator and then refilled using the IAS CO2 kit and it worked like a dream! No leaks, no drama -- had the whole job done (including the first-time hose assembly) in less than 5 minutes.

Just make sure they are the correct diameter for the tank. You might have to use some neoprene, like a sleeve, to make it fit tight.

    Its listed on their site:

10 and 15# tanks are listed as 7" diameter......same as IAS, so it should work fine without mods.

    Awesome, glad to read that.

Thanks for fielding some questions and keeping this thread informative guys! Sometimes it's hard for me to keep up!

Anyhow, in regards to the tank boots, I've been trying to find a supplier for a while, it's not as easy as you'd think. (to get a good deal in bulk). Anyhow..... you need a tank boot with a diameter of 6.9". Back in the day this was a common size for scuba tanks but it's now almost obsolete and has made getting the boots a little tricky. When I can find one I can sell for $10 or under I'll have one available but until then the power tank one, would have to do, or like the other person mentioned, plastidip, spray on bed liner or even just a simple black paint on the lower few inches that's easy to touch up is just fine.

Wheelers has tank boots for slightly under $10, under their Source CO2 category. I don't know what their shipping cost is though, for me it might be cheaper to go with Powertanks for $18 and Amazon prime lol.

Yeah it's shipping that's usually the killer.... I found them ONCE for $10 with free shipping, bought every one they had. Next time I went to order they were asking for $10 shipping also! Lol....

Do you know of any protection for the bottom of my tank? I want to keep the powder coat fresh.
