Both tacomas were on stock springs. The one at 2.5" was an offroad, so the ride was quite stiff. My current tacoma at 1.75" is a sport, and rides much better. Sport springs are a comfy spring to use with the 5100's than the offroad springs.

I think it's the towing mirrors, but your truck looks like a very confused Ram

Boy you can read some crazy stuff on the internet.

    1. My old silver DCLB 06 with a 2.5" lift sitting the 245/75r16 before putting the BFG 265's on.

    2. My new silver DCLB 2013 with no lift yet, and 235/85r16 winter tires.

It was on the truck when I bought it and it looks to be a 2 in front and like a 1 in back. It maybe a 2.5 in front

Please take a look at my Wheeler's shopping cart. Is this everything I need to lift my new taco?

I wasn't sure if you need Billstein shocks for this setup or Billstein Coilovers....I'm pretty new at this. Also, do I have the correct AAL selected for the rear? I'm only trying to achieve around a 2" level lift and will be running 265 tires. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Ahh, good catch. Didnt mean to do that. I'm trying to decide between the 884 and 885. If I'm not looking for a full 3" and I want a littler smoother ride, should I go with 884?

On the rear did I make the correct selection? Take into consideration that I have a shell on the back. Again, Im just looking for a level 2 or 2.5".

    Thanks!!

I'm considering going with the Dakar leafs on the rear which I think with my bed cap will give me a litter over 2".

I'll go with 5100's on the front and rear but I'm trying to decide on 884's or 885's. I want the smoothest ride while maintaining an even, level lift that matches the back.

What should I do? I'm planning on running 265 tires and I dont do much real off-roading.

Oz, do you think I could achieve my desired 2" lift by using 885s and an Icon progressive AAL in the rear?

If I use the dakar leafs in the rear and 885's is it possible that I get more lift than Im looking for? I dont want 3". 2.5" is the most I want.

Also, I'm hesitant to go with Dakars because wont I need the brusings and longer U-bolts and all then?

    Thanks!!

885's will lift the front about 2 1/2"
Dakars will lift the rear about 2 1/2"

So you will end up with factory rake , just 2 1/2" higher off the ground

I got exactly 2" of rear lift with Wheeler's progressive 3 leaf AAL. I'm only at 1.5" up front but will raise it slightly to get rid of so much rake.

FWIW, I left the OEM overload leaf IN on my 3 leaf OEM pack (2 + 1), removing the factory overload will get you around 1.5" instead of 2", and so far as I have read from people running the Icon/Wheeler's 3 leaf AAL, diminished load capacity.
