I always get heckled for not liking any of those "salad" sandwiches too. Cutting something up into little pieces and covering it in mayo for a meal....

I'll stick with my meats and BBQ sauces!

Lol it's a struggle. I turned from a fat fuck on 1/1/2014 to being satisfied with my health by eating like this and exercising every day.

I only eat some processed carbs for breakfast. Meat, veggies, and fruits throughout the day.

I've been "big boned" all my life. Finally cracked the code, 1326 cheeseburgers later. Here's the key. My pathetic lunch this very second :(

I feel ya. I supplement bland veggies by putting a lot of meat in them. I snack on nuts throughout the day. I find that veggies taste better if you sautee them with some meat. I personally hate salads.

    Me too.

Craziest thing about my entire "experiment". I am flat out stunned on how little food we can live on. Every work day I eat.
    Plain oatmeal w raisins walnuts,
One banana, one small orange, one small apple, that salad w a teaspoon of yogurt dressing

When I started, I thought I was starving. Now? I'm rarely hungry until dinner. I function fine. I even run three trail miles. Maybe a fistful of tortilla chips and water before I run.

Dinner is a moving target. I dropped 35 lbs slowly over the year. But I don't care. I'm really most happy about the change in the way I think. Its sustainable.

exactly! I never considered mine a "diet", but a change in lifestyle.

The other day we went to have a birthday feast at my favorite restaurant that I havent eaten in ages, and ordered what we would have usually ordered before, and we couldnt even finish HALF of what we would normally eat. And we were even painfully stuffed for hours at that.

I read somewhere that the average adult with an office/desk job and no real physical activity only needs something like 800 calories a day to maintain their weight. most american adults consume 3 to 4 times that every day!

I think I just had that for lunch... but I'm off to the gym as soon as work ends.

We actually had that exact discussion at work last week. A bunch of us were using this online calorie calculator to determine what we need vs. what we actually eat.

    http://www.calorieking.com/interactive-tools/how-many-calories-should-you-eat/?ref=nav

I counted calories for the next two days, eating the lower range of what it said I needed to lose weight. Ended up losing just over 2lbs during the 2 days.... then went on a weekend ski trip putting on 4 thanks to all the vacation food/beer consumption [IMG]

That was water weight. Go on a 0 sodium diet (or as close to 0) for a few days and you will piss out pounds of water.

Speaking of double yolk eggs, my mother has recently been raising 5 chickens for farm fresh eggs. Every time I visit she gives me a dozen, and the last batch had one monster egg of the bunch. I began making a weekend breakfast of scrambled eggs, onions, peppers, topped with hot sauce, only to be surprised with my first double! Never got a finished product pic because I ate it too fast, but it was damn good.
