Yeah that's definitely a place to use low gearing I've heard. Probably won't have a crawlbox for awhile... No time to install it haha. I don't need more shit sitting in peoples storage sheds like my supercharger that was bought july of 2013

I like the Radflos... Where is the best place to purchase them?

Also, I'm not sure if you consider ballistic as major, but they have a slightly shorter compressed length. only .7" though. haha

Also, king has almost 1.25" shorter compression length? I'm not sure where you got your specs from :luvya:

I'm down for windrock! I've been wanting to go there for a long time now. I used to ride 4 wheelers there years ago but I really want to make a wheeling trip there. It's about 6 hours away from me.

Hands down the best mod I ever did on any vehicle I have owned. Well worth dropping the money on and it has saved me hours of trail and garage wrenching, you can be sooooo much easier on components, no real need to bump stuff and shock load the driveline.

i had a crawl box in my 94 and it was a night and day difference. I'm buying the Atlas4 this time around due to the fact that I've seen a few buddy's that don't wheel as hard as i do gernade their J shift taco case with a marlin crawl box in front of it, and i know how abusive (superchared) i already am. i used to do 4 wheel burn outs when i was on 33's broke to many axles on 35's

Yea I grenaded the input on mine as well, with the crawler in front. I built a lefty stuffed with chromo everything... I should have bought an atlas I would have been close in cost. I didn't feel like doing the floor mods to get the atlas to fit.

how much floor modes could there bee just have to cut enough holes to fit 3 shifters and buy a few extra adapters to keep the speedo.

Windrock is gorgeous and you can get lost in 170,000 + acres of land. We try and do a trip every year around July 4th. The trails really change from year to year. Some of the 2 star trails in can still go down with ifs and 35s but some have changed so much I can barely start on the trail head. Haha Harlen is a good park too. It's also huge and you can ride for weeks

Seriously how much moding could it really take? It's not any taller than the factory case.

Not that I'm scared to mod the floor of the truck to have 3 speed bad assness.

I've only seen one build with a atlas (not saying that's the only one out there, just I haven't seen it) and the guy had to cut a fairly large hole in the floor to fit it.

But he did have a flat belly so he very well could have clocked it causing him o have to clearence the floor.

An atlas is alot bigger than it looks in pictures and you really can't compare it in size and shape to the stock tcase. If you want it close to flat, get the sawzall and welder ready! Not a Toyota, but we had to rebuild the drivers side floor of my buddies zj that we swapped a 4spd atlas into. Had that thing in and out of the heep at least a dozen times trying to get it to fit. Get a real trans jack (not those stupid floor jack adapters) if you don't have one, it will make your life 100% easier installing it.

I don't plan on making it flat (I need it low to help with drive line angle) so that should help with not cutting up the body really don't wanna have to do much of that. As far as a jack goes don't worry guys I am a master tech at a auto shop with all the best tools. Not that I haven't picked up a 205 and installed it above my head before, or layed on my back and bench pressed a secondary 4 speed out into a 10 ton spud truck.

Also this may be a stupid question but what exactly is high steer and why do people keep saying I need it?

    Set up will be
    Fj80 axle
    3 link
    Fj80 steering box
Custom drag link using trail gear kit

High steer means the tie rod mounts at the top of the knuckle rather than in line with the axle. It gives more clearance from rocks and is stronger than stock. For the fj80 there isn't much aftermarket support and it's very expensive. Look up hellfire knuckles for the fj80 axle.
