yep, I almost thought that wasn't it because it took about a week for the CEL to turn off, course I don't drive much so I probably only went 50 miles during that time.

Shit! No White Russians until after the 2nd of April! Catholics are to give the money they didn't spend to the church. The dairy and vodka I'm not buying could really add up!

I really need to think these things thru:( before I open my mouth.

We better change the topic, not supposed to talk about religion or politics. Don't want to get a warning for violations of forum rules. I like this place too much and they let me get away with a lot:)

Starting my 3rd J & B and gingerale, cinnamon rolls (to be shipped in the morning!) just went in the oven, and after they come out, time to make a Costco deep dish pizza.

You guys ever tried those? $10 for seriously the best friggin pizza you've ever eaten, not kidding. SMOTHERED in crazy gobs of toppings, insane amounts of cheese, sooooo deep dish that you almost think it's a stuffed pizza (miss that in Chicago!) - seriously delish, all for only $10. MUST TRY.

EDIT: K, hopefully these look/taste as good when they arrive! Thank you so much! :)

Myself and 3 others are going Tarpon fishing in the Florida Keys. I just found out this morning that we need to fit in a fishing tournament in Tampa as well.

This is a wifes free week and a half, so I knew I wasn't gonna behave to good and needed to do something ahead of time.

I know, I know. Supposed to not think about it......impossible though, it's a puzzle that needs to be solved, and at least I'm back to being in a positive learning mode instead of an icky stressed out mode!

Here's a pic our new mechanic took of the damaged cam sensor while it was still installed.

What's the wheel above it that the belt goes around?

Is that belt the timing belt?

Is the cam sensor supposed to be touching that stuff like that?

The other pic is one I posted previously, but I'm curious if anyone knows the specific name of those 3 black wires that run parallel together along the top of the timing belt cover?

And what's the specific name of the wires that go from the fuel injector rails to the coil packs?

How often have you guys with the older Tacos changed your coil packs and plug wires?

Are those 3 wires mentioned above called "plug wires"?

The wires are high tension, or spark plug wires to most people. That belt is the timing belt, looks nice and new like it should.

4 new tires going on. Needed them. $600 worth of ouch. 81K out of the last set.

Got on top of these monsoon waters at speed yesterday and did a little side shift/drift at 70. A long water skim. Butt pucker factor set in, then the tires grabbed hold again on the other side after I was about 20° out of line. Not cool,,lol. Coffee cup went flying. Glad I don't have a big lift, because I probably wouldn't have got that one back.

OK, I gotta put this out there - I am now 99.9% sure it's the coil packs & wires. I think we may have diagnosed the problem ourselves, after all this, so I wanted to post it in case it actually turns out to be this - I gotta get my chance to gloat later! :D

Not gonna explain why I so strongly think this, and don't bother explaining why it couldn't be that. I'm already convinced, and what's the harm anyway - worst case, to quote DP, it's the "False Hope for the Day" :D

Getting ready to order some coil packs & wires off RA once I hear back from husband. Don't worry - we'll spend the $ even knowing it's possible its not the fix (but I know it is) :D

I have now officially called it, and expect full gloating rights later. :D
