Just received my brand new ultragauge, had it for all of... let's see... 12 hours now :D and I love it but the amount of gauges can be pretty overwhelming. For all you guys that have had yours for a while: what are your favorite gauges (the ones that made it to your page 1) and were there any gauges that you never thought of using in the first place but ended up finding them to be super useful? So far all I have is instant MPG, avg MPG, battery volt, throttle position, air intake temp and avg rpm. definitely not what I plan on sticking with but thats all I saw that caught my eye in the 5 minutes I was tinkering around with it.

Just got my new Ultragauge MX 1.3 in the mail so I thought that I would BUMP this thread instead of starting a new one. Haven't installed my UG yet but some things I want displayed are:

RPM, MPH, instant MPG, avg MPG, inside/outside air temps, coolant temp, oil temp, voltage, distance to empty.

What other gauges are you guys finding useful?

I need help, I just had my alternator replaced and it took a few days to do and the U/G worked no problem. I checked all my lights and noticed my HID headlights was not working so I had the mechanic check for the problem but he could not find what the problem was. My problem is now my U/G will not work tried unplugging it and plugging it back in with negative results can anyone give me a starting point on what to check any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try it on another car. You may have damaged some of the pins on the OBDII port.

What is the point of water temp, maf, o2? What would you do if one is too high?

Diagnosis, it gives you a base line.

Water temp is a given, keeps you from toasting the motor.

But what would you do if your water was reading high? Is it the radiator water? Pull over and add more? get towed?

    As opposed to continuing driving?

Well, I don't know what you would do, but the first thing I would do is pull over and try and find out why it is high. If I cannot figure it out fairly quickly, then I would let it cool a bit and limp it home or have it towed, depending on where I am.

I have my alarm set for 195, it has never been over 188 since I installed the gauge.
