I had a nice chuckle when I saw the thread title. I asked this question a few months ago and the whole world collapsed.

I can put around 4,500 lbs. in the back of my B3500. Vans are best for truck duties.:stirthepot:

Full size is way to big for me. Be a pain to drive in the mountains and I doubt id get 22 mpgs.

I used to use it for work, loved being able to put 16' lumber inside it, nice and dry. Mine rides pretty well, drove it around the country for a few months living in it and was always comfortable.

Lets just cut to the chase, as long as it's black, it's going to look good.

I decided it would be best to keep my 07 access cab..lol. I think all short bed trucks aren't trucks and the LB looks too long. It's probably a bitch to park.

When my kids get a little older I'll probably just get a full size double cab (but probably not a Tundra because of price and gas). For now, I can still cram them in there on the occasional necessary ride in it. We have an Explorer for the majority of family driving.

Or I'll just keep the Tacoma and buy a sports car and cram them into the back seat and let them trip over the seat belts trying to get in and out. That's really probably the most likely scenario. :D

    Stock for now...
I'm just irritated since an occasional 3-400lb load of steel kills the springs on this thing . No stock height decent springs unless you have someone like Alcan build them . Considering trading it for a newer Tundra , but they are so god-awful ugly except the Pro model and it only comes in a damned short bed .

Yeah. I was being dramatic about the world blowing up. Just a lot of long bed hate. I had a second thread in there by accident too. It also got a lot of responses if I recall correctly.

Is it weird that I want an access cab shortbed on a regular cab wheelbase? ACSBFTMFWB!

This my older son who is 4 at the time, now my younger son who is 4 sits here. Plenty of room. The chair is in the normal position where my wife has it, she's 5'8". For the record, I did take out the rear headrests which take up a TON of space as they require the car seats to be several more inches forward. They're not needed as the car seats have built in protection. The seat is a Britax Marathon, one of the best you can buy. He's happy, they love it in the back of my truck.

This is where my 2 year old sat, same car seat, and the seat is in my normal driving position.

Now my 6 year old sits in a booster behind me, tons more room than this pic as his back in against the seat back, not a car seat. I put the headrest back in on his side. My 4 year old is sitting where my other son is sitting behind my wife.

At the end of these two videos I pan the camera back to show my two boys, both happy and with lots of room.

I just sold an ACLB for a DCSB. Running the kids to soccer practice worked on with the AC, but not on a long trip.

I agonized over the DCLB and DCSB. I opted for the shorter wheelbase because I do go afield sometimes. But it was a tough decision.

Also, I got the MT 6 with the SB. MT is not available on the LB. I am partial to manual Ts.
