LOL .... Been there, all three places. Timmins is a lot colder than the Big Smoke, or the Big Wet. Also lived in the Yukon. -40C is -40F in any language.

... and it -14c (-2F) here right now. -16C in Timmins, -12C in Toronto, -25C in Thompson, .t's freakin' Canada!

I installed ProFX heated mirrors shortly after I bought my truck. OZ has my originals.

(and a balmy +12C in Vancouver)

2013 has the HomeLink and temp display plus back up camera screen in the mirror.
2014 was moved to the camera display to the audio system screen.
2014 also has text-to-speak button on the steering wheel.
I think I prefer the screen in the mirror, even though its smaller it seems to make more sense to me to have it there.

Got no issues without having any heated mirrors on my 2010 and its -38 according to my truck temp here in Northern Ontario .
Roads are hammered with salt and frost heaves .
I will take a heated steering wheel mind you . Fluffy steering wheel covers are good for nothing up here .

At that temp there is probably no humidity to refreeze on the mirrors a mile down the road after you've scraped them

It's a truck. Use a thermometer. You don't have auto start and all the bells and bubbles. Buy a 75k+ Beemer SUV next time.

If these teeny things ruin your experience of owning a Tacoma. Industry standards? Sure. Standards? It's a free market. You buy what you want. You got no blinken lights to tell you the temps. Not available for a while, guess you missed the boat before you bought it. Read. Use the Brain. :)

You could of bought something else..................................:D

Whining over lost outdoor temps> Classic. No Starbucks coffee sensor next whine?

    wow
    relax man
When we spend 40+K for a "truck" in Canada, a thermometer & heated mirrors are not too much to ask when it's way below freezing 7+ month of the year.
    It's the 21st century.
I see you're in Vegas where these "frills" may not be so important.

External temp sensor is a safety feature. I agree with that.

Do the 2015s get a low washer fluid light? Now that would be useful!

I'd really like to have heated mirrors. It's pretty brutal it wasn't an option...

Good thing you know everything... But somehow you didnt know your last hooker had a dick bigger than yours before you paid it then got butt raped and liked it. Now the anger is growing and you're trying to take it out on a northern neighbor?! Your classic moron 'its a truck' comment indicates your IQ score, but you probably didnt understand the numbers anyway :)
