Is your Tacoma a 4x2 or a 4x4?

i need the 4x4 for the wv mountain roads in the winter time

 

At the time of this thread. I assumed most everyone on here had a Tacoma.

Hey now! 4x2s aren't THAT squatty! The 2nd gens still sit higher than base frontiers, Dakotas, Colorados, and low anything, sit about even with SUVs, and sit way higher than passenger cars, especially smart cars. They are also just as long as Prerunners and 4x4s, so us tacito drivers have just as much room. My 09 sits a good 6 inches or so higher than my 94 toyota truck did.

But I will have my Prerunner OR some day . . .

I get WAY better than 25 MPG on the highway...

My favorite places demand that I have 4x4. I love Anza-Borrego, Mohave, Death Valley and the Sierra mountains.

 

If I get to a point where I can move out that way before I get too old, then I will get a 4x4. I love those areas too. For now, my 4x2 is what I need.

i went mall crawlin with ben and fred (98tacoma27, bcgredneck) and we all have 4x4s!!

you never know when you're going to run into a pothole, or worse, a shopper in the parking lot!!

 

LOL! Hey, and how about those concrete barrier/stops! My mother drove over a whole row of those in her Honda civic once! LOL! The car came through it okay, but my two aunts who were with her were pretty shook up!

 

4x2 all the way, no not really. What i really wanted was a 4x4

 

I figure having 4WD + locking rear means that at any point in time I have power going to 3 wheels if i need it in the concrete jungle.

 

4X4. The times we don't get a lot of snow, we get ice and there are a bunch of hills here in the Springs.
