I'd not do anything to prevent Toyota from honoring the frame replacement.

However, since it is a given that the Frames are at issue, I'd at least wait a long as possible to hopefully ensure that it get replaced.

Are they upgrading the frames to the one with removable engine mounts vs welded on that my 05 has?

Are they spraying the new frames also? And is it done before the install or after? From some of the threads, seems like I might need to protect my aftermarket suspension components and maybe my wheels and exhaust. Now that I think about it, might need to pull my OBA components too.

All good questions. I will be stopping back in at my dealership this week to ask for a complete included parts/hardware breakdown. If I remember I will ask.

Forgot to ask. You have your truck? Or did they put you in a loaner? Or are they working on it right now?

So many of these threads, i get everything mixed up on who has what... A MOD should condense all these into either a MEGA thread (merge) or someone should make a thread linking all these individual ones on the rusted frames.

My frame is on order. I was asked if I still feel safe driving my truck, I answered yes. Im sure if I went back in and made any kind of argument I could be in a loaner, but I do need another truck. If I can secure another Tacoma I may consider it but otherwise im not expcting a call until May at the earliest.

I been waiting since mid nov. Just talked to my rep he said has no idea when frames coming in and that some people have been waiting longer.
He told me should call me back in a few days going to check with Toyota.

My dealer (Lia Toyota, Albany, NY) said aftermarket parts would be fine as long at it is the same process to replace as stock. So my Bilstein 5100 shocks and my OME leafs won't cost extra because it is the same process to take them off and put them back on.

I am hoping they stay true to their word. Still waiting on my frame. Apparently I am number 3 in line. Hoping it comes in before I graduate and move out of the area.

Anyone else get any word from Lia Toyota?
