Oddly enough, I've heard 4.56 for the 5-sp and 4.88 for the auto on 35's. I would think it was the other-way around but I believe the auto's OD gear is a bit taller than the 5sp's.

Either way, I think both should work; 4.56 should be good and give a bit better MPG's and 4.88's a bit more power :notsure:

So you basically want to think of it in terms of a percentage... Manual OR auto, same rule applies, soooo, when you're going down the highway at cruising speed for 4.56, if your RPM is 2000 add 10% for stock size tires, your RPM to maintain same speed will go up 200, if you're running 33's that's 5% bigger for tire diameter so only add 5%. Final drive for manual is lower, and first gear might feel like more of a granny gear with 4.88's, not necessarily a bad thing. If you use the percentage rule, and find the factory ratio's for each gear, you can easily figure and have a rough idea of how it will affect RPMs in each gear. There's other complicated ways to do exact calculations, but percentage is easiest and it's still spot on if you do the math with the real numbers.

Not sure. Dont like the size of this turbo and may go smaller. Probably around 8-10psi; no more than 300-350 at the crank.

Anyone have a vibration or shivering in your truck went you're in park or neutral idling? Goes away when I put it in drive. Just noticed a week or so ago and it's driving me nuts. I'm wondering if I've got something loose on the exhaust or maybe a torque converter bolt.

Doing turbo install tomorrow, can use some hands if anyone is free. Ill provide pizza and beer. Willing to help any other installs as well; will have two open spots in the driveway and plenty of room on the curb.

Going to be a cold day but will be working in the garage and should have a heater going.

    PM if interested for address.
