Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Glad to help...I want a 5 gallon water tank from rotopax in black to run as a shower for that spot but I dunno if that's even an option as I think they only have the 5 gallon tanks for fuel.

Can anyone tell me what size t-slot nuts I need for the heavy duty crossbars? Zach: was I supposed to receive some t-slots with my order?

10 series/1/4"-20 thread. Should have been a handful in there. I will send you some more if not.

I typically have been including tiedown loops as well but some supplier issues has led me to search out a better option. Once I find one I am satisfied with I will get those sent out to people who didn't get them.

There weren't any in the box. If you could send a few that would be great.

I haven't been able to test the setup with trees but from the looks of your pictures they are too tall compared to the max trax and smittybilt. Not sure what can be done other than maybe put some shims under the brackets so they sit higher.

FYI to all those following, I have updated the OP to have a guide. Scroll past the pricing and pictures and there are links to info in the thread. I will be adding to it still and updating as things are mentioned but it should be helpful for finding info that comes up often.

I installed my rack on my '15 access cab today. Used a leather punch to make holes in the weather stripping. That went pretty well, just pound the crap out of it. I then started drilling. Smooth until I got to the passenger side near the back. The drill seemed to hit something soft and fibrous. Very fine white fibers were sticking up out of the hole. When I went to tap in the plusnut, it hit something soft and WOULD NOT bottom out on the steel. I'm guessing this is wiring of some sort, perhaps for the pas side airbags. I completed the install minus that one bolt.

    Ideas?

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Or just drop the headliner...pretty quick and easy to do.

Let me see if I have it here...I know I have it at work as a book mark but it is very straightforward.

Yikes, aside from removing the headliner the only thing I could think of is maybe inserting something into the hole to push the wires to the side a little. I haven't had anyone run into this so far so I am guessing it is a wiring loom that just got pushed to the side more than others from the factory.

Homer - which cvt is that? Also, is that extending over the cap to the cab or is that the angle?

    Its the Mt.Hood.
Yes, it does cantilever over the cab - I removed the last crossbar on the Cabrac so it would not rub.
The cab and cap racks are the same height off of the truck.

That's one of the best features of Zach's products - they offer endless mounting possibilities!

Any possibility these fibers were from sound insulation in the roof?
