Yeah, my area has had over 4 feet in the last two weeks, BEFORE this storm rolls through. The town of Eastport has set records this year with over 6 feet of snow so far.
    http://www.wgme.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/eastport-breaks-maine-snowfall-record-25882.shtml

The wind shouldn't be bad, though, unless you're out in it. We're going to be down in the single digits temperature-wise for the entire storm, so the wind chill will be killer. But that means that the snow's going to be so light and fluffy that it won't be weighing any branches down and causing power outages.
On the other hand, Mad Blizzard Conditions. Sounds like it's going to be a good day to sit inside with a hot buttered rum and a book, haha!

Lol. The one around here thinks it's for decapitating mailboxes.

Looks like a winter storm is finally going to hit WV. There's been forecasts of 3"-5" all the way up to 6"-10" overall. Nothing compared to what the NE has and is still getting but it's the first snowfall for us since last year. Here's some pics of the mist from a cooling tower at work freezing quickly on a truck last night. It may not look like it but the ice buildup on the cooling tower is very big. when those things finally fall, they fall with authority. I've seen them take out a vehicle parked there before. Hopefully I'll have some snow pics tomorrow or Tuesday :)

Be safe everybody, never experienced that kind of severe weather, but every once in a while you hear of someone not surviving because their car broke down or got snowbound.

Cool pics. Would suck to have to get into that truck and wait for it to thaw. I can only imagine how big that ice build up is.

2:15 saturday, blizzard/whiteout conditions hit when leaving to return Uhaul truck and trailer to the Uhaul store... only 6 mi from his home

5:45 saturday, these condition finally stopped my friend's father 1mi. from Uhaul store, leaving him stranded on the side of the road. All tires were at wear-bars. Uhaul employee claimed "it's legal". Employee drove to truck, loaded his personal car onto trailer and thought he would drive away. HAHAHA. Yesterday morning, truck/trailer was in parking lot not far from where it was stuck.

^ Yeah that snow that rolled through Saturday was pretty intense for a little bit. Crazy trying to drive a uhaul with bald tires. I shoveled my walk and driveway right before it hit. That was a waste of time because I was right back out there later.
Took this when it moved through...

It was a literal whiteout for 5-10min... didn't want to take a pic while driving in that, though. HA
