Sounds like a reasonable answer, but unless I'm reading the instructions wrong, I just don't get how to get to those bolts. And the crash bar, is that beam/cross member that is behind the bumper. Seems way beyond ratchet tools. I don't wanna take it to a shop and have them installed for me just yet. I'll give it another shot tomorrow, I won't give up yet! wish me luck lol, and thanks.

Seems like you just take off the 2 outer bolts on each side and put the bar on then bolt it back down.

Okay, I think I know what you're talking about now. I'll try that, I read it wrong, and didn't make sense looking at the truck, thanks a bunch.

Battery died today. Jumped it with my wife's Jeep, knucklehead moment, mixed up the negative and positive in a hurry...melted a part of my headlight lens and a small spot on my bumper before I could get them off. So...that's how my day went.

That's a nice looking truck. First thing I did on mine was plasti-dip the chrome embelems black too. My bumpers were both black already though.

    Here's a picture of mine.

    Yesterday I added a 400w inverter.

I had to google Factor 55 - nice! That's awesome on the winch - and synthetic line.

    Looking forward to Disney.

I like the way you did the toyota in green on the back gate. I saw they have the plasti dip in several colors and thinking of doing my toyota emblem in the grill in orange.

I added an intermittent wiper stalk to my base model for $50 from a TW member and upgraded the wipers. If you don't have them already.

I also noticed the V8 in the bed strapped in there. I have a ton of parts left over in my garage from a 1969 Z/28 that I sold to purchase my Tacoma. I have a 302 short block, camel hump heads polished and ported, chambered exhaust, all kinds of carburetors. If you are looking for muscle car parts I can probably come up with something. Just haven't gone to a swap meet to sell them all. FYI

edit: I see the block is blue though, must be for a ford.

I would like to add an inverter as well. I know the factory ones will barely run a coffee pot. Only problem is I have gone primarily to battery operated power tools. I still want to add one. Maybe I can see it in Disney if I end up going.

I bet the grill embelems would look good orange. Before I did my custom grill had mine green.

Its a 289 that we had to completely rebuild. The heads weren't making good contact. It was a fun project though. It ran 10x better after we rebuilt it, so it was sad to see it go. We sold it just last week.

So these bolts right? These are a pain and tedious to get off. It's just such a small space to work with. I don't understand why they just didn't use the single bolt on the cross member. The concern I have is once I get these bolts removed, and install the mounting bracket, how am I gonna get in there to screw the bolts back in? Easy Install says KCs website, my ass. Lol Grrr.

I've heard the Orange Plasti dip fades pretty quick. That's why I haven't used it on anything.

If it mounts like I think it does. It'll use the two bolts that are right by eachother

Yeah, the ones on top. It's impossible to get to them, I'm gonna call up KC in Arizona tomorrow, and see if they got a better solution to get to these nuts off. And per the instructions it says to just remove the nuts on the bolts, and install the bracket, but I can't get to them, and even when I do install them, the brackets are in the way to get the nuts back on. Okay, well I'm gonna close up shop, and call KC tomorrow, if their answer is the same, I'll just take it to a shop and see if they can get it on for me. I just want my damn light bar on! Haha. Thanks again Mason.

No problem. If I had time I would have helped you myself but I'm busy with senior year. Getting up at 7 am to go to school/work. Getting home at 1am from hanging out

Remove your grille, if the nuts you need are on the aluminum crash bar.
