Hey Washintonians! It looks like I will be moving up your way next march (2016) I am pretty excite,d as is my wife. As much as we love San Diego, its time for a change. I will be moving to the Bremerton area, I am hoping to find a house in the Seabeck/ Belfair area. Are any of you familiar with these towns? Also looking to find some new friends/wheeling buddies.

KOH is cool, but it's really nice to play in Johnson Valley during the weekdays when nobody is there... I miss ripping around the desert sometimes!

I live in Port Orchard so wont be to far from ya!

Are you going to be stationed at Bangor or Bremerton?

Belfair is an ok area. Nice for having some acreage. But traffic to and from the area sucks if you are on the same hours as the rest of the county (ie start work ~7am and get off ~330-4) Especially if you are coming from Bangor you have two bottle necks that are always backed up. The highway out to Belfair is a two lane road.

Seabeck isnt a bad area at all. Traffic isnt as bad as going to Belfair IMO.

Check out the Port Orchard area as well. Not the actual city but you can find houses with acreage on the outskirts. I have almost an acre but am still only 5 minutes to a store, gas, and downtown port orchard.

As for wheeling...Tahyua is the more popular area for our side of the water. Theres quite a few places to go on the other side of the water though!

Cool! Thanks for the info! I will be stationed in Bangor, I have to go to some Trident school (sub stuff) first. Then I will get orders to another boat. We are looking for a little bit of property, not a ton. We definitely need a garage 2+ cars. I am so excited i wish we were moving now!

Has anyone found me a beagle yet? Haha

Oh also... So my mom is ready for a new family car. She has a Dodge Viper and a jeep wrangler for fun, and then a lexus gx470 for trips. We got the lexus because she loved the 3rd gen 4runners but my dad wants luxury so it was a compromise. Now they're back on the market and Im trying to convince them into a TRD pro 4Runner :spy: then I wouldn't be embarassed to drive it hahaha. I think it would be sweet but they're worried about power and creature comforts. What would you guys do? The lexus and the pro are both kinda 4runners on steriods. Can you supercharge the new T4R?
