Note an X-Runner probably won't be made for 3rd gen, due to poor sales.

Don't hold your breath. It took 2 years for a single company (Anzo) to come up with replacement headlights for 2012+ Tacos, and even then the U-bar halo was not to everyone's liking. Could be equally slow with 2016 headlights.

The grille is probably interchangeable between either brand (and maybe a few other brands...)

 

I can definitely see that rolling around South Austin or San Antonio, except you need to leave the lower valance a gray primer color and give the body an obvious spray can paint job. Add a massive fin to the back of the bed lid, some folks love to add those.

 

Hey would you say those tires on your photoshopped Taco are 37s?

 

Smaller grill definitely looks nicer. Not quite sure why Toyota decided to go with a larger grill

sup everyone. Im new to this forum. Was planning to make the 2016 Tacoma my first truck. I'm noticing a lot of people disliking it. IMO i think it looks great.

Welcome to the forum! Don't let the people who talk too much convince you that the truck isn't liked. There was a poll on here when the 2016 was first shown asking peoples opinion and more than half loved the way it looked. It seems like the bitter people who know they can't afford the new ones or who are too stubborn to accept changes and upgrades just happen to be the ones who complain and blow up the forums with their griping crap.

I personally love the 2016 Tacoma, have never owned a Tacoma or a truck, and plan on making the 2016 my first, so you are definitely not alone!

 

Or it could be people just honestly don't like it and end up buying a 15. But yes there are haters but also people who have legitimate grips and opinions.

 

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I am buying the 2016 tacoma regardless. Now what model should i get is the question. My friend bought a TRD prerunner and has regretted not getting the 4x4.

 

I did the same when I was stationed in AZ, regretted it when I got moved to the Northeast, traded for 4WD.

 

Hi All. I'm new to this forum. I was about to pull the trigger on a 15, but as soon as I saw pictures of the 2016 model I decided to wait. I love the look of the new truck and can't wait to get my hands on one. Until then i'll be driving my 2000 cavalier lol.
