First. How was the TRD Pro 4Runner?
Second. That bumper hangs so low. You just lost all ground clearance it looks like

Land cruiser not an option? Escalade? Otherwise I'd push for the TRD Pro or maybe the Limited would be plush enough for them

Porsche Cayenne turbo S. 570hp, 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. The BMW xDrive50i is 445hp, and also a nice option. Toyota just doesn't play the horsepower game, and I think that is why their luxury SUV's aren't selling. They need to step up their game in that market. Toyota designs it's high end SUV's to survive third world conditions when the reality is most Americans in that market don't even drive on gravel roads, let alone off road. I would guess your folks would be disappointed with the T4R after having a GX470, and if they aren't happy it will end up traded in or sold...

I'd avoid belfair and port orchard then to be honest. Traffic sucks when psns (Bremerton) is starting work and quitting time. That and your commute would be 45-60 minutes each way

By Bangor you should be able to find something though. Seabeck isn't to bad and you'd find acreage at least....it's considered a bit hillbilly though, but still a nice area! You have a huge area to pick from though from silverdale, to seabeck, to poulsbo, and all the way up to Kingston really. You should be able to find whatever suits you in the area!

Land Cruiser too expensive (although don't they have bad resell? Maybe could find a cheap couple year old one...) Escalade too big. I'm thinking they'll like the pro cuz it's different and looks cooler than your average 4runner.
We've tried so hard to get her into a Porsche cayenne and a bmw x5. She refuses - says they look like station wagons haha. I'm thinking they won't be happy with the horsepower. My mom is really turned off by the v6.... The other end of the spectrum they're considering is a bmw or Mercedes 4 door car that's speedy, comfy, and all wheel drive (going over the pass and such) My madre also loves manual (so that would be a plus). I don't think they really wanna spend over 60k-65k though for a new car. Any recommendations?

Really tried to push that. She just complained that it looked like a station wagon and wanted a 4runner.

It is. Erica had a 2011. She loved the 5.7 in it too.

In my prior life of an uber sedan owner (Audi RS6), my bud down in Eatonville had an Audi RS6 AND a Cayenne Turbo S.

AWD, Twin Turbo, V8 => thing moved! Almost as fast has the sedan, but maint on both uber cars can be pricey.

There isn't much in the horsepower game in the SUV arena that available in your price range, unless it is a used vehicle.

Cayenne Turbo S can be a maint nightmare IF there isn't a remaining factory warranty or an aftermarket warranty.
A 2006/2007 VW Tourag TDI V10 would be amazing BUT a warranty would be required as the first step to a majority of maint or R/R would be "Step 1. Drop Motor"
A "G" wagon with 63 and the AMG would be crazy fun but completely a mall crawler.

While discussing vehicles, my friend is looking for a vehicle. Primary use will be camping with a trailer or perhaps a 5th wheel. He has about a 10% use for 4x4. I can't stand it, but he tows like he's at the race track.

    His current options are these:

    1999 Ram
    2003 Ram
    2004 F350 King Ranch

If you have real world numbers on MPG that would help, too. Some guy told him that an '06 Ram gets mid 30s while towing, so he's thinking he should be getting mid 20s minimum

I bet. So many people now! I went around to Spooners and some go fast stuff on the back side of the course this year. Marked off limits to spectators on the map, so there wasn't hardly a soul on that side. Race officials didn't seem to care that those of us who were back there were there though.
