Meathead? Lol. I really want to cheer for Kassian.. It helps that Hodgson is playing even worse. And unlike Cody, his teammates appear to like him. My fear is they trade him for a 2nd rounder and he suddenly turns into the next Cam Neeley. Canucks need to be patient with this guy.

Lawless says Chevy demands an NHL roster player, decent prospect and a first round pick. Can't see him getting that much.
He's a good penalty killer, is physical and has great speed. Seemed to buy into the system Maurice was preaching well.

 

I don't see that great of a return either, but who knows, GM's do blow farts from their ears on occasion.
Kane works hard on the ice, and is decent defensively, but he is not very smart with the puck. Toronto would be a great place for him!

 

For a rescue player it'll be difficult to get that sort of return. If this was Kane before all of this had come out then maybe but from all accounts the feeling in the league seems to be that Kane is universally hated by the dressing room. That kind of feeling probably isn't limited to the Jets dressing room either. People talk.

 

Bingo! I think Cheveldayoff would have moved Kane by now, if this weren't the case. I do know there is interest in him, but the offers have been very weak.

Yep! That pretty much summed up the weekend for me!

 

Habs won 10 of last 11 reg season games. They have the Bs number.

Of course they'll be weak offers. 29 other GMs out there circling like vultures when the news breaks about a player with $5.5m cap hit who's made the news with some "team issues." Chevy will be handcuffed and maybe will finally have to put his big boy pants on and make an actual trade. I doubt it'll be before the draft this summer if it ever happens.
