Hey everyone I'm new to Tacoma World, I have a 2014 tacoma trd sport 4x4 and I have been looking at the adjustable bilstein 5100's and I wanted to know if anybody has tried them and what they think of them.

Recently put a set up front at 0.85". Gives it a good ride and alot better look. But be warned you will probably experiences some front end vibration.

I did, and that is the recommendation for OME coils. Many people that use the Toytec/Eibach coils will set the shocks to .85 to get the same amount of lift.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I had them on my 4runner, pretty nice ride. Definitely good for the money.

I'm looking to finally ditch my spacers, i'm tired of the rough ride. Now I need to choose between 885s and Toytecs. :-( Anyone reccomend one over the other for a more gentle ride?

The spring rate on the toytec springs are 620 lbs and the spring rate on the 885s is 590. Based on that the 885s should ride smoother but will support less weight. The toytec springs were good for me bc i have the Matt123 front skid plate and the avid offroad lightbar up front. The toytec springs with the 5100s rides nice IMO.

My last question. Should I do 5100s all the way or 5125s in the back?

I'm going with the toytec springs plus the small top plate spacers and the toytec AAL for the rear. I'd like almost no rake or just slightly higher in the back.

I have the toytec AAL in the rear with 5100s. The 5100 are made for the tacoma. The 5125 is the universal shock from bilstein, IMO the 5100 will give a better ride over the universal shock due to it being valved for the tacoma. Here is a few post lift/ pre new tires pics.

Oh and if you are doing spacers on top make sure you put a 1/4 larger spacer on the drivers side. There is more weight on that side and aftermarket springs are not side specific like the stock springs. I have a 1/4" spacer on the drivers side.

TRD Baja kit can be had now about $1300.. Rides great, I like it much better than the 5100's I had on the runner.

    For what its worth.
