Here is a picture from when I cut the rears. This is the line the snips give.

Jigsaw! Best way to to it. Use metal tooth on fenders and wood blade on flares. Dremel was also helpful with plastic wheels for the flares.

I did my front fenders with a 4" grinder took forever to make it perfect. rears with jig saw went easy.

Yes, id be able to run a snorkel, the outside perimeter of the flare is the stock flare! Just the inside is cut and made with a bigger openings. The once on my truck is a modified factory flare with 3" taken out of the inside. I was thinking of making it one inch higher for those wanting to tub the top of the inner fender but then a snorkel wouldn't work so I left it original size on the top. These would not make sense for people ok with cutting their stock flares and leaving them with the unfinished edge, but someone that wants to look like it came like that from the dealer it would make sence.

To clear 35's you dont even need that much work, with: wheel spacers 1.25-1.5" chop your body mount like I did, and just remove your flares temporarly! You might habe to trim the very bottom of the fender corner. Also cut a few slits in the factory pinch weld and use a big hammer to pound it flat. Its nich to chop the firewall for flexing out the truck but with stock coils or sway bar it wount be a problem. You might not steer 100% till you trim the firewall! Might get 80-90%

You just contradicted yourself. Yes you do need all of that work to "clear" 35's. Mall crawl clearing is not "clearing"

I agree  its exactly what I did, less mess than a grinder! Unless you clean your whole truck super good the metal flying everywhere will rust into your paint all over your car. I learned that the hard way on a old project

I guess I forgot to post in there " temporary" driving till you get the tires on so you have the tires while doing the firewall clearing. I cleared both my mount amd firewall with 1.5" spacers but no tires . The mount would have been sufficient for 35's but not 37's. The firewall is dome even for 37"s but waiting for my new body mount relocation kit I just ordered today :) Its all a process with these projects amd usually never done till you sell it

With a good body mount chop you can get away with 35" perfect but not bigger. With my 37's im steering only about 70-80% maybe close to 90% not sure

I have to get a bigger hammer for the firewall. I am just going to grab a case of beer and invite some friends over to take turns hitting it.

Ha ha:D you know what, you can get a little clearance with that but to be hones if you have a full day available to work on it its not to bad... I broke mine up in a few days, a few hrs here and there. First. Step is taking out the seat and carpet, then electrical in both kicks and fuse box, grind with a wire wheel all factory caulking ( which is very flammable), fut the whole pinch welf off and the bottom corner. Fold over and then tac weld it back, worst of the job is sealing the firewall back up! Use either a good silicone (no cheap stuff) or windshield install silicone installers use, paint and then youre done

I clearing 36s on the same body mount chop I had for 285s. If I chopped the "ear" off I'm sure 37s could clear without much issue. Here's my tires standing next to a stock tacoma with the 245 tires, I thought looked pretty funny

LOL, luckily all I had hit was a wheel stud and bent the shit out of it. Went down to the auto parts store and bought a new one it was a 10 min fix. Can't imagine what my fender would look like if I missed
