Ok guys, rather than try to reply this information to everyone that has PM'd me I am just going to post here in the thread.

I just ordered the parts I need to make 5 dash kits and everything SHOULD be here by Wednesday the 14th. Keep in mind that this will be the dash kit only..the CD player and an iPad mini WILL NOT be included. For reference, the CD player that I am currently using is the Sony GS600BT. I'm using this one because Sony has an app on the Apple App Store called "App Remote" that allows you to view and use your standard AM/FM radio on the iPad display. If you don't care about that you can use any other single din CD deck you want.

Refer to my YouTube video to see what the "App Remote" app does here
    http://youtu.be/tAEN3LMxmBs

Also, since I made that video I have incorporated another tweak so when the iPad comes on the lock screen is now bypassed. There is a TON of tweaks you can incorporate.

Also keep in mind that there will be a little bit of "assembly required" by you the buyer, namely the installation of the magnets used to hold the kit into place. I will include the instructions for magnet placement with the kit, but you will have to do that part yourself to ensure a perfect fit as every dash may be a little bit different.

So now for pricing. I am going to offer this kit in two different options:

Option 1: Not painted for $350 plus shipping. This dash kit will be sanded, primed and ready for paint so you may choose any type/color of paint you would like for a personalized look in your Tacoma.

Option 2: Painted for $375 plus shipping. This dash kit will be painted with high quality interior SEM paint in Satin Black with a Low Luster clear coat finish. Refer to pictures below:

    IMG_0342_zpsb1b966ed_45ef9d7406d824b7e6fb088a622b8a0e15c9be4b.jpg

I have received a lot of interest and PM's about this kit and apologize that it has taken me so long to finally be able to do this. Now that pricing is set I don't know if the people that have PM'd me in the past are still interested. To be fair I am going to try to serve those that have already expressed interest first but I am going to need you to send me another PM to confirm you are still interested and ok with the pricing, as well as letting me know if you want it painted or not.

Once I have the kits made I will send you a PM with my PayPal info so you can submit payment and I can get it shipped.

Thanks for the support and compliments everyone!

OME suspension, flippac, more to come...

I'm pretty sure that there is. Some claim to only work with Android, but iOS rigs are out there too.

What adapter did you use for the steering wheel controls or were they plug and play?

If he's talking about you "hijacking" an idea then he's a moron. There's another guy selling these now but it was way after you posted your install.

When I saw the other guy selling these iPad mini setups for the 05-14 taco, it made me a bit angry because it seems he stole your idea. But who knows how he got the "idea".

Do you have a link to his thread? I'm curious to see his setup. I snooze I lose I guess. I had a lot of bad stuff go down since I first posted my install so wasn't able to make them to sell until now, but there was definitely no hi-jacking involved.

I don't think anyone hijacked anything from anyone. Sure, the guys at Soundman (look it up on youtube) their site is soundmanca.com, they started doing iPad installs first but on this site there are probably multiple members that made their own dash installs some of whom have decided to sell kits to those interested. i know of one member who builds full A/V kits designed for the iPad mini with the use of an aftermarket headunit such as the OP did as well. OP has offered just the dash piece. other members have gone further in their own design. but to state again no one hijacked anything from anyone.

He's probably referring to my iPad kits. I started off only making them for 12+ until another local member with a 2011 volunteered to be my guinea pig.

As far as the "hijacking" thing goes, anyone can play the "I thought of it first" game until they're blue in the face but as with the Satoshi grills, headlight retrofits, etc..., there's always going to be people who can offer the same / similar products. I made jigs to help me fabricate my first kit, which kind of streamlined the process for making duplicates. I'd be a fool to not offer to make these for people for a little extra cash. Not to mention, our products are quite different.

Sure, soundman car audio were the "first" ones to put an iPad into a car according to the history of YouTube, but it's not a very off the wall idea, and it makes sense to want one in your vehicle. At least we're offering a custom fabricated solution at a reasonable price as opposed to SMCA's $250 "float mount kit" that still requires a ton of custom fab to get it into a dash piece.

I was actually referring to Shane providing a roundabout link to his own offering of his Ipad dash kits on this thread. My comment had absolutely nothing to do with ideas, concepts, products, etc. I think the work you guys are doing (both parties) is outstanding. In fact, I'm looking forward to doing the same for my Tacoma, and thus appreciate all of your efforts. Rather, it was the subtle agenda of providing a link to a similar kit Guyonaunicorn is selling, but at a lower cost, on THIS thread. Simple as that.

Then you should of been more specific on who you were referring to. Like the OP said, he fell into some hard times and had to put off building this kit. So I'm sure the guy providing his link to his kit wasn't to hijack OPs interested buyers it was so they could have other options to look at if they wanted to buy a kit from someone. Was it wrong that he posted his link here? Sure it was. But now that OP can build these now everyone who was interested before or is now can have this option to look at!

My apologies for making it seem like that but... I respond to almost every single thread in the Audio & Video section. Someone asked a question about an application that I am very well-versed with, so I chimed in. Simple as that. I never pointed anyone in the direction of my product. Sure, I have a link in my signature to my F/S thread, but I'm not going to change that just so I can post in certain threads without coming under scrutiny.

I think we thought that the other member meant that you posted your link in an actual reply, not having as your signature. if its your signature we can't really do anything about it. its like some members with their build thread as their signature going to others builds.

with that all being clarified, OP now has an opportunity to sell his product so we shall let him!

haha yeah looks like there was some confusion here but no harm no foul :homer: I'm not upset at anyone. I'm glad there are other builds out there! Variety is the spice of life right!? I think it's pretty awesome to see other people's creativity
