It hit me about 3 weeks ago when we had our baby shower. We got so much stuff and didn't have any room to put any of it that it finally sunk in. My wife is also high risk but everything is going fine right now. She's scheduled for c-section on the 5th!

Honestly it did not hit me until I had Kody in arms and he was just minutes new! My little buddy is the best thing (next to my wife) that ever happened to us. Congratulations to all 4 of you and get ready for the thrill of your life.

It hit me immediately, like OMG, innocent babies depending on me for food, shelter, protection & guidance towards being a productive member of society. The look on the face of the host organism of my offspring when they told us it was twins was priceless! I was ecstatic, she was horrified, lol. It should be much more blessed event with an actual wife/partner/teammate vs. someone who acted like you committed some kinda crime against her, loathed & despised you no matter what & burned every bridge possible in those 9 months. Healthy & 10 fingers/10 toes on each one is all that mattered to me. It's been the best (kids) & worst thing (X) that ever happened. Anyway, like I told the other guy that just announced theirs, roll with it & just remember what matters...the innocent ones relying on you. Try to plan if you must but be prepared to wing it because noone can plan for what will go down after the blessed event, you're just along for the ride to a large degree. Control what you can, try to manage the rest as best as possible. Congrats, enjoy & best of luck. (And may everyone experience multiple births, lol) Have either of you considered multiples in your lineage? Might wanna discuss, could happen.

I still can't believe I'm a dad and my kids are 5 and 3:D I keep telling my wife we wouldn't be in this mess if she hadn't lost the receipt:p J/K!! They are a lot of work and can drive you nuts at times, but when they come to you with an "Owie" or ask to snuggle or get scared at night or the big one.....tell you they love you out of the blue it makes it all worth it. Congrats!!!
