Yeah, I'm not happy at all. Also missing a 2.75" clamp for the IC piping... Going to call them Monday.

The 10th is my last work day and I have some time off before my new job starts so I should have time to get some work done. I noticed the valve covers weeping so probably going to replace the gaskets as well.

    Here's some notes:

CX racing is a bunch of tards, build quality is iffy at best
URD doesn't make the turbo port injector manifold anymore

    chances of replicating...slim..

    lol

Valuable lesson learned...inventory your stuff as its received and do a final inventory before you actually start to make sure you haven't missed or forgotten anything. :)

Haha, pretty much. The headers and down pipe are not that bad. Larger primaries are harder to tune but very doable. I bought my URD fueler used; there were two listed on ebay when I did so maybe some hope out there.

URD does have one port injector still for sale; its listed at $2,500 though
I did but you don't know what you don't know. The instructions are useless crap so its a learning curve just installing the kit. I spent a few hours going over every piece this weekend so Im hoping I have everything figured out this time. 3rd times the charm I guess.

would it be better to just rig up your own piping into the stock manifold? i've seen it a few times

No. They are designed for it so won't flow great.

Custom would be better. I'm waiting to see how Collins turns out as he got the 52eighty kit. He works with addicted offroad.

    link?

also, are there programs that would allow you to (fairly) quickly whip up a digitally designed turbo intake system, with built in flow models that would get you relatively close to optimal flow in real life? Obviously not perfect flow like you could only get from constant trial and error, but at least pretty good?

Haha, thanks. Talking with Cx now; they think my turbo is not right and want to replace it... Someone shoot me. At least they are good about it and doing their part to address the issue, but quality control on outgoing kits needs some work.
There are two other members that just bought the Cx headers and built the rest of the kit. Probably easier than what Im going through :p

He doesn't really have a site. Just a FB page. He works out of addicted shop. Does damn good work.

Yea probably what I'd do most likely if I were to turbo.

Yeah, the only option would be the STS kit but that one has inherent design issues unless you go with an oil free turbo. While the turbo T4/T3 flange machining leaves much to be desired on this kit, the machining on the heads themselves are not too bad; about on par with your typical aftermarket header.

All the welds are solid and the stainless steal is plenty thick. Not a bad setup if you ask me. If you want top of the line, you can def do better than this kit, but you will pay for it :p

The steel quality and welds are top knotch, but the clamps and gaskets provided suck donkey dong as I've already said. I couldn't imagine paying a grand or two more for pretty much the same thing with higher quality extras. For anyone else interested in the CX kit, get the simplest header and downpipe kit, get top knotch clamps & gaskets and buy the intake BS from ebay. A used garret can be had for $300-$800 depending on condition and desperation to sell.

Idk, my kit's waste gate came with big ass blocks about 1.5" thick. Not sure what they are for. Im also confused how the kit is supposed to attach. There are some threads on one flange and not another and some bolts and nuts but they are way smaller than the holes on the flange. A ton of odd washers and such... Im guessing you didnt get the Cx waste gate :p

Anyway, Im going to use the RTV gasket maker and stove adhesive for all the connections, Ive heard everyone on CustomTacos say that was the way to go. There are no "good" metal gaskets, they all blow.

No I got a tial clone wastegate with a 3 year warranty. I got a small handful of random washers, nuts and bolts too... half of which I didn't use. I should have all the picture angles you need on my thread but I'd be happy to take more if you need them. You should post a picture of your wastegate and those blocks so I know what you're talking about.
Edit: I have a clear view of my wastegate and dump tube on the header with the turbo on page 4 and 5 of my build. I'm thinking about welding one of these straight on to my dump tube. Do you think that's too ghetto? http://m.ebay.com/itm/161334387223?nav=SEARCH
