    Either you're towing max weight uphill both ways everyday, or your let your truck idle an hour before you drive anywhere.

    When I switched to penzoil platinum plus I seen an increase in overall MPG but I have no exact numbers. definitely sticking with this stuff. It's crazy, doesn't even look like motor oil

    It's been -30C on average for this tank and I haven't left town. Truck hates the cold and it never gets up to operating temp with trips like 2km long. Actually, the truck runs very well in the cold... The environment; that's what the truck hates. And the hatred grows when it gets colder.

    I try to avoid idling. I leave it running if I'm in the middle of nowhere for work (safety thing - warm place to go to and just in case you can't get it started again), but mostly turn it off if I'm not actually driving it.

    You should try my Dodge HD. I go through a tank every day in the summer at 95 L a shot :eek:. That's one of the many reasons I never complain about the gas mileage on my Tacoma.

    Nothing, just driving 300-500 km per day on gravel and goat paths with the truck constantly in 4WD at low speed. Sometimes I have 1000-2000 lbs loads in the box but that's only on highway. I average 7 mpg from time to time on that 2500 with a Hemi in those conditions.... when I use the Tacoma (I don't use it to ship anything though) I get about double that mpg under the same conditions.
