My biggest hold up is I don't tow or haul so I don't need a full size. My truck has done just fine for any hauling of diy stuff. A second gen dcsb would be nice, but now all those have rotten frames. Which drives me to a recently re-framed 1st gen dcab.

Though I do enjoy burning tires off with a v8...

    Lol.
    Another argument against one, then.
"I spent moar money for a FS W/a V8 so that I can spend moar money on tires, moar often!"

But I support the child labor at rubber plantations that way. Really it's just like philanthropy

Is that new? Could just be that the drains are clogged or full of ice

Looks like you slid left and then overcorrected. :stirthepot:

    Borrow a ladder?
I rock salt mine; I just climb the ladder and wind the rock salt to them. Maybe I should paint the insides black this spring, lol.

Yeah, sucks. My dad has that issue and he never listens to me... So he's up there every winter chipping ice. Haha

Nothing you can really do now other than chip it but that usually ends up causing more damage. Maybe try the salt? Then keep up on the snow with a roof take before it melts and freezes

tough part is my roof-line profile is relatively flat on the rear side and a steep pitch on the front (two-story cape) kinda like this: --|\

the two dashes are the rear roof line, the vertical line is the separator from the bedrooms to the crawl space, then the pitch of the front roof (hopefully makes sense)

the rear side has no attic above the bedrooms so there is no easy way to get up there to insulate better (will cut a few holes in the closet ceilings to get up there and blow insulation - no way to place rolls). The previous owners on the front side insulated the roof, not the walls that separate the crawl space from the bedrooms.

Going to take the insulation from the roof, and place it in between the studs on the bedroom side to keep the heat in the rooms, not in the rooms+crawlspace.

Not to sure if that is the correct way to do it, but seems like a more logical setup than what I have now.

Edited to show picture of house with roof line:
