Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Has anyone else done shoot/don't shoot training?

There are plenty of different kinds. Military has some at pop up ranges.. that relates more to deployed life, but there are also indoor 3D and simulated ones where they play a scenario and everything is recorded. Then they analyze it after the fact.

I really liked those, haven't been in a few years. Did them as part of certification to work the road, which we did on a cycle. So every few months. It was a good tool.

There has to be ones out there you can go to, I know they have similar stuff for bow hunting..

This is one big reason that I wish the doors locked when put in drive. I try to remember to lock them. Specially when my kids are in the truck. Which is 90% of the time. But sometimes I forget.

That's a nice feature. It should be a stock option though.

Do our trucks have an auto lock feature?

This is a really stupid question lol but sometimes when I leave it for a few minutes and come back and it's locked. I don't remember locking it because were in the middle of nowhere shooting or something and I've never bothered to check...

If you unlock it, and don't open the door within I think 30 seconds. It locks itself again. Other than that, mind doesn't. Sits in my garage for hours on end and doesn't lock.

my 2006 Acura TSX re-locks the doors if I unlock but dont open after like 30 seconds or so, Your door auto locking might be built into your alarm as an inactive safety lock feature.

A few months back I pulled up to a light. Weather was amazing so I rolled down my front windows. Some young chick jumped in the passenger seat. I was like what the hell. I think she thought I was giving her a ride. Once she saw my face she never said anything just jumped back out.

I should probably start locking my doors. I apparently have no survival instinct. She caught me off guard and I did not know what to do or say. Lol

I am the opposite for the same reasons. I almost always have my windows open, I have a weird claustrophobia that I developed years back. When I can't hear stuff outside, or the doors are locked to where I can't open them from the inside... It has gotten better, I don't drive around much in the winter with the windows half way open anymore.

But I do cover anytime someone is approaching, and my carry position in the truck lends itself very well. I would be better off in the truck than surprised on the street. There is no show of force required to be covered while in the vehicle.. And no time between a normal situation and one that turns bad that is wasted during a draw while you are sitting vulnerable.

I would HATE auto locks, but I can see why others would like them. And it is only my door that I want unlocked.

Probably some screwed up thing in my brain from being a gunner and driver in a truck in Iraq.

Our 2013 Prius and the 2007 before it both auto-locked, as it was programmed in with the push-button start. When you exited the parking gear, the doors lock. When you entered the parking gear, they unlock again. I suspect the same programming will be on the 2016s...but I also doubt that will do any good for the Gen 1 and 2s.

I just make it a habit to lock before I start moving.

it's just scary because the car behind her was a woman with an infant and a 12 year old in the back seat. If the guy went to her car, she's pretty much fucked. Give the car up and your kids potentially get hurt. Fight him and you die, and the kids still get hurt. What do you do?

Yes I would, as I said earlier, it's your responsibility to protect others as well as yourself.

That would be the same scenario as if you walked into a convenience store and a guy pulled a gun to rob the place, it's not your store or money, but you have an obligation as a simaritan if you will.

At least that is the rules for having a ND carry license.

Even if it wasn't part of the rules. I personally couldn't watch if I could stop it.

My car was held up at gunpoint when I was in high school. There was nothing I could do then, and knowing how that felt I would gladly solve that problem for someone else.

I am going to be shopping for new insurance when I get back home. USAA won't cover my guns and tools..

They will, up to a small value.. As in there are single guns worth more than they will cover.

Makes no difference if you have a proper safe etc.

Agreed, just stating the law since most are concerned with that rather than what is right it seems.
