Thanks! Your truck is looking great as well. I have been considering that oem rack for a while now. I was going to do a full Yak system as I did on my '09, but really don't care to spend the money, and I have rocky mounts on bed rails. Also trying to stay with less is more, but keep going back to it.

Here's some photos. I think it looks good. Remember, these are parking garage quality shots.

I have the A-frame plastic covering, Oh-shit-handles in front and rear, the over head plastic housing for the map lights, step boards on all doors, center console, and replaced the shifter knob painted to black. I think there was too much gray in the interior. Not enough contrast. I will most likely move to cloth lining the center arm rest and the door arm rests.

I bought this guy today. There have been concerns about the valve extending past the skid plates. This doesn't concern me any since I'm not a heavy off roader and if I hit something hard enough to break off the valve, I'd be ruining the oil pan with the bold anyway. Once I get it installed I'll give you all some feedback.

I've been thinking about this too. That valve is the only thing that concerns me also......

What are your thoughts on the slots? I've heard to stay away from them in order to prevent any rocks, mud, and grit getting lodge and wrecking your pads.

I got the "shorty" I can't imagine the piece will extend any farther down than something else in the underbody. It's also such a small target. Figure unless you hit the perfect angle to shear it off, it would just dent the oil pan upward. The lever would be on the side, and I also bought the clip.

There are too many variables that have to match for it to concern me.

Someone mentioned some punk kids opening the lever. I doubt that too. . . think of the scenario, Doubtful a kid is going to crawl under the truck thinking "boy I sure hope this guy has a quick drain plug" so few people have them that it wouldn't be an issue.

I have run them in the past and had no problems but i dont really go mudding, but i do play in the rocks and so far haven't had any problems. Will see how these go.

I was going to mention the soil composition here in CO is different. . . but you're just up the road. The soil is so gritty out here compared to back home in the midwest. I suppose it's just luck of the draw. One guy gets a rock in it and swears them off forever. Others. . . years without issues.

True. How easy/hard is it to turn that valve? Looking forward to hear your feedback

I have one with the SOS skid, it's above the skid. I have been using these for years and love them. I makes it so easy to change the oil. Good choice in buying one brother.

Yes, went with Denso's, as they seemed to be holding up better than the NGK's that were in it. Plugs took about 45 min tops.

In addition: rotate tires, oil & filter, air filter, greased driveshaft, and inspected a few things. Will torque driveshaft flange bolts this weekend.

Feels good - I drive about 1000 miles/week and today I noticed a 2mpg gain on a 300 mile trip. Woohoo - I guess new plugs do help.

    Lots...
Finally changed my OEM battery... after almost 5 years I believe it was a good one!!!

Now I got an Optima D35 Yellow Top one... I've had great experiences with that and I always get one for each car when the original dies!

Also, went to home depot and remembered that I don't have any container to put little stuff on the bed, so I bought the Yellow Top Box... yeah, Yellow Top is what's everything is about today....
