Since relocation WPG-MIN have had 9 of 11 games decided by 1 goal.

 

Local TSN radio is painting Buffalo as aggressively pursuing Kane. Apparently they have several first round picks in the coming draft. The Canucks are said to have dropped out of talks as they cannot compete with the Sabres' offers

 

I read an article speculating Anaheim was looking at Tyler Myers but the GM shot it down. So maybe they are dealing him as well...

 

Deal done. Kane and Bogosian to Buffalo for Tyler MYers, Drew Stafford, a first rounder and a goalie prospect

 

I had been told Bogosian had privately asked the team for a trade, so this takes care of that as well. Lotsa bodies movin today

 

Looks like there are other prospects involved

I don't think anyone was arguing that....

 

Most guys were saying it'd happen this summer if at all. In my mind that was to long and it'd be a distraction to a team that's winning but on the bubble. Smart move on Winnipegs part. The whole deal looks like a fair hockey deal which is all they could ask for with Kane involved.

 

I like it. Chevy cleaned up the mess, got rid of another guy who wanted out and added a lot

 

Dont throw your shoulder out patting yourself on the back. Buffalo clearly stepped up to plate and did Winterpeg a solid. Not too many if any other teams would have done that. Especially teams going into the playoffs. Thank you Buffalo. Cheveldayoff has done a nice job

Its not all bad for Buffalo, the deal helps them get worse this year while trying to land either McDavid or Eichel. As a Sabres fan Im a little disappointed that they gave up a first and prospect Lemieux. I was looking forward to watching him develop. Seems like the Sabres may have overpaid, I guess only time will tell.

 

I thought you couldn't trade a player on long term IR but obviously that's incorrect

 

Buffalo had 3 first round picks though yeah ? and the traded pick is the lowest of them
