I have read that myself a few times. It really could just be poor words. Depends on the intent. Which we don't know the real intent aside from wheat he has said.

To me it sounds like he was saying the aircraft he was in was hit by the rpg, and then landed. But perception is a MOFO, and depending on how long after the actual incident it was, excitement/emotion etc etc can sure make you say things retarded as hell when your trying to make sense..

Whatever, punch him in the throat. Do the investigation. And let us all get on with whatever else.

It is sad about the lost or not mentioned Information.. It is even more sad that that is the normal. Whitney Houston gets more publicity than dying troops.. What else can be said? The news is a mess, the system is a mess. You really can't trust any source 100% and have to stay open minded and do the best to make sense of what is out there.

I watched the story that shows it evolving over time. His chopper was part of a multi-bird flight, the bird in front took an RPG, but all of the birds took small arms fire. It was a factual statement that his helicopter had received fire.

Having come under fire in Bosnia back in 1999, certain details are still crystal clear. However, I don't think I can ever remember it perfectly. Only smells, still images, and personal feelings remain. I don't think I could give an accurate account of who in my group did what other than hunker down and wait for relief.

I appreciate everyone that has served and is serving. And really, everyone deserves some accolades in life.

IMHO, this story only came out is because the other ones involved wished for or wanted their 15 mins of fame. For whatever reason. Jealousy or what have you. Maybe they feel they should of been part of the story. I'm just guessing, but it's something that makes sense to me.
