A neighbor has one. It's the same width as my wife's Prius, and maybe a foot or two longer. Small.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
That is true. My friend had a last year model, whatever year that was. He used to park on the opposite side of my 2008 and you couldn't see it.

Parked my 79 long bed 4x4, next to my 85 long bed 4x4 with 5-6 inch lift next to my Gramps 2004 extra cab 4x4 OR stock, next to my 2013 Access cab with 3 inches of lift.. 2013 is the biggest in every dimension except ground clearance and bed space.

Parked my 2013 access cab next to my gramps 2004 Tundra extended cab.

The Tundra was still bigger, barely. About 6-8 inches wider on the outside of the bed and more on the inside.

and before that he had a 95 extended cab t100, the 2008 access cab Tacoma was taller and fatter, about the same width body wise with a narrower and shorter bed than the T100 and the front was 4-6 inches wider at the bumper than the Tacoma.

    X2....

I say give it about three to five years when the hype with the new Colorado/Canyon is going to burn out because people finally realize what kind of build quality is incorporated into GM products. It's going to be just like the first gen Colorado's. Everyone thought they were hot shit only to realize down the road, " Damn I should have bought a Tacoma." I don't hear anyone ever say that the other way around.

Before you start calling out all the known issues with the 2nd gen Tacoma ask your self if you would have ever traded your 1st or 2nd gen for the same year Ranger, Dakota, or Colorado in the same exact trim?

Ranger, sure. I had a 2007 Ranger 4x4 sport and it was bullet proof plus almost 10K less than a similarly equipped Tacoma.

Out of curiosity why do you drive a Tacoma now?

Long story. The ex-wife was really controlling when it came to the money. She wanted a fuel efficient car in the family, so my Ranger was sacrificed for a new Focus. Once we broke up I went to a Juke :)facepalm:) because I wanted boost, and then quickly a Tacoma with the TRD S/C. I love my Tacoma, but if the Ranger came back I'd try one out again.

I loved my Ranger for the three years I had it. No issues at all. My local Ford dealer has always been great to me and my business. They take care of any problem when it happens too.

Interesting, it sounds like you like to try out and experience different vehicles. Would you trade what you have now since it's literally the same truck as it was in 07 for the ranger?

No, but mostly because I tow and the 07 Ranger does not have the wheel base for the trailer I tow now. Also because, the one great thing about this Tacoma everyone over looks, the aftermarket supports this truck so well just about any option I want I can add in an afternoon like my S/C.

For a Global version Diesel Ford Ranger... I'd be in. Not because I love Diesel, but because it'd fit my needs and I'm still in love with my 07 at heart.

Yup, lol. In all honesty my wife wants a new vehicle so something new is going to end up in my driveway anyways. We swap vehicles all the time, especially since I also have a work truck with my company, so I'll get to drive whatever she buys anyways. I think we have narrowed it down to a 2016 or 2017 TRD Offroad DC Tacoma, a 2016 or 2017 Toyota 4Runner Trail Teams, or a 2017 Ford Focus RS. Whatever she picks we have time on our side, since her current car works fine.

Parked my 14 Tacoma next to my 03 Tundra Access Cab. The wheelbase is almost the same so lining them up really shows how similar (or different) they are.

    The Tundra is:
    a few inches wider
    [IMG]

    Slightly longer to the rear
    [IMG]

and a bit longer in the front

The ranger was a pretty good little truck. Still a lot of them on the road.

I bought a new 2015 Tacoma last week. I didn't want to get the first year 2016 Tacoma, and waiting until 2017 is just to long.

Never even considered getting a Colorado or Canyon.....not even for one minute.

Probably the same day GM confirms the day it'll be available on the 2016 model.

It is a lot smaller, less power, etc. Its like half a tacoma. So ya its going to be cheaper. Its like a 2007 first gen. The v6 doesn't even have dohc.

Smaller with 200 something horse power made that truck feel equal to my Tacoma, before S/C it of course. 10 K is a big difference for me. Plus the simpler Ranger was WAY easier to work on.

Both trucks have there advantages. I'm very happy with my Tacoma, but local service wouod push me towards a Ford again if one was available in the class.

They already have. It's been on the website for a long time now.

About 3/4 way down the page.
    http://www.chevrolet.com/colorado-small-truck.html#Performance

PS: Prepare yourself. They use the Tacoma as the competition on that page.
