I like your "borderline question" comment, great choice of words!

If you know someone in the Oceanside area then please send them by.. we will toss their ride on our dyno and at least get a graph specific to the Tacoma platform.

In the mean time we would be happy to send one to you for impartial testing, shoot me a PM if you are interested.

"Stirring the pot" is another way to describe it, "enough rope to hang yourself", etc. :D

I have a URD (aftermarket) CAI along with a MAF Cali, so for me, the device isn't worth anything. Thanks for the offer though. I'm just trying to ask enough questions that someone else can make an informed decision based on facts as opposed to marketing sch-tuff.

    Guess that answered that question.

Maybe we should have a sub forum for electric superchargers, intake risers, flux capacitors, unicorn fart transducers and the like. :)

Lol... I did feel the rope around my neck ;)

Yea, our product will not work with a CAI as it would double the math change going into the ECU and cause a cell code to pop up. What's the HP increase you are seeing with the CAI if you don't mind me asking? Our EB shows the same increase as most of them.

BTW, thanks for the good sparing session!

will this work on the afe stage 2 or the 1st gen trd intake though? since they are the closest to the stock intake, maf position wise. if that's the correct term lol, i.e. not throwing lean codes.

It's the inner diameter of the aftermarket intake that is the deciding factor, if it's the same then our EB will work with it.

I contacted a guy in SD, who meets the 'stock' requirements. He said he is interested. Hopefully he'll contact them soon and schedule and appointment.

I recently installed one to give it a shot and this is what I have found.....DISCLAIMER: I have no proof of anything besides how the truck "feels" and responds.

After installing I felt the truck pulled harder and generally seems to have an easier time getting up to speed. The truck seems to be more responsive and for some reason I feel like it is downshifting less when taking inclines or passing on the freeway (Honestly not sure how this works..)

Anyways I'm pretty satisfied with it thus far, I will end up removing later to really compare the differences. I've had it installed about 1 week.

Here is a picture of it installed since one was never posted.

No I haven't paid much attention to MPG. I'm getting about the same with some more aggressive driving.

I could see this working. This is a similar line of thinking to the intakes INJEN builds.

This is for the FRS. Notice the tube inside the intake that allows air to bypass the MAF

Crawford is a reputable company, Not saying I am completely sold but I would give this a shot.

Crawford built the original Gymkhana cars for Ken Block. They know what they are doing...
