You can ask. The worst they can do is say 'no'. Or try to stick a bunch of conditions on the results.

Personally, I'd either do the work myself, have someone assist me who has experience at it, or pay someone who has experience at it.

An option is to hang out at the dealership around starting or quitting time and see if any of the techs arrive in 2nd gen lifted trucks........... they might be willing to work privately on weekends.

Running 35's (goodyear mtr's @ 67lbs each). Still running 3.73's myself. Its a bit of a challenge for me to re gear. It will eventually come along with lockers. To me theres no point in dropping the front diff and pulling the 3rd just for gears at this time. Plus I cant decide what ratio I want...My truck pulls just as it did with 33's so I dont know any better and I dont want to loose the low 5th rpm for fuel mileage.

My personal opinion would be to drive it first with 35's and go from there. It's not as bad as everyone claims and really depends on your driving habits. If your constantly in the city, traffic, highways, red lights etc. Then I could understand it could feel under powered to some.

Yes, go to the last page on my build page and I posted a pic on my trimming and cab mount cut as of now.

And if you plan to run a 6" lift go visit the thread on drop brackets before you make a decision. Lots of info and different opinions in there or just ask me :D

    True.

"The law protects vehicle owners. The Magnusson-Moss act makes it illegal for an auto manufacturer or auto dealer to void a warranty just because a vehicle has been modified. The only way that a vehicle warranty can be effected is if the lift or leveling kit is the direct cause of a failure."

Bds mirrors the factory warranty. .Once you cut the frame toyota does not warrant that part or any other modified part.Bds warranty is if it breaks we replace it period. All other parts not modified will be covered by toyota. And no the driveline will not have to be modified. ..a carrier bearing and shims are used. The Bds installation manual is available on line.Read it you'll know what your getting into

This is mine..I would be more concerned about the cross member cut then some fenders. You need to be sure your okay with that. Most ppl dont understand there is cutting involved at the frame

What tire are you running because some are smaller 35's and how did your uca's help with no rubbing.i had toytech uca's and nitto trail grapplers which are a very large 35 with a 5 offset wheel and had rubbing issues

    35x12.5 Toyo MT's.
The new UCS's are the fully adjustable Icon$$ and the tech said he was able to align them to minimize the rubbing.
Now only rubs when fully cranked while driving over a curb or something.
With the stock UCA's it would rub with any sharp turn.
    Trimmed fenders a bit though.

Mine does the same when turning hard and hitting a dip or bump.Just needs the fender flare trimmed a bit.As far as alignment it drives fine but I think it might be able to be dialed in closer because I suspect they don't even understand how to adjust or they don't want to mess with the uca's. I have found a new place that will be able to dial it in better but I'll wait for a while.
